Maggie Gyllenhaal and actor Peter Saarsgard made it official on Saturday – the pair exchanged vows in Italy. The nuptials took place in a private ceremony at a small chapel in Brindisi. Among those in attendance were superstar younger brother, Jake, and girlfriend, Reese Witherspoon. The couple has a daughter together, 2 1/2 year-old Ramona.

Gyllenhaal gained critical recognition in the 2002 indie movie, Secretary. She recently starred in the blockbuster The Dark Knight, currently the highest-grossing film in U.S. history.

Sarsgaard has starred in films such as Kinsey, Jarhead (along with brother Gyllenhaal) and Shattered Glass – earning a Golden Globe nomination in 2004.
