Mississippi native Rick Ross debuts atop the Billboard 200 for the third time with Deeper Than Rap, selling 158,000 copies in his first week. Ross’ 2008 set, Trilla opened in pole position with 198,000 copies. The soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie slips to No. 2 and 104,000 sold. Depeche Mode returns to the albums chart at No. 3 with Sounds of the Universe, moving 80,000 units. At No. 4 is country act Rascall Flatt’s Unstoppable with 68,000 movements and new rapper Asher Roth’s Asleep In The Bread Aisle opening with 65,000 – good for No. 5.
The soundtrack to the film Twilight is at No. 6 with 40,000 units, Lady Gaga’s The Fame sold 40,000 sold at No. 7, No. 8 belongs to Day 26’s Forever in a Day with 37,000 and the Now 30 compilation lands at No. 9 with 36,000. Rounding out the top ten is Jadakiss’ The Last Kiss with 30,000.
Over on the singles side, Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” remains the top-selling single in the nation with 226,000 digital downloads.

What is his current song? I’m surprised he got #1cd, but it is less than his previous #1cd.

how is that good when his last album was 198,000? he has to do numbers like lil wayne to impress me. oh 50 will out do him on a bad day.
