April 1, 2009 Tech News: CTIA Going Down In Vegas

For all my techie love muffins out there, this year’s CITA, or Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, is currently taking place in Las Vegas. CTIA is essentially a trade show where all major mobile phone manufacturers and certain mobile carriers display up-and-coming products.
The highlight today was Samsung’s Impression for AT&T, a slider with an amazingly vivid touchscreen display and slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. Next up from Samsung was the update to the popular Instinct for Sprint with a smaller, sleeker form factor. Samsung also showed off two 4G, or ultra high-speed data handsets – an exciting look into what we can expect from the industry in the next year. Finnish manufacturer Nokia showed off the E71x, a 3G smartphone for AT&T that is popular in Europe.
I just think all this technology is so fascinating – I’m already addicted to my Mac and iChat, what will I be addicted to next? Lol.
The annual trade show lasts for three days. Be sure to check out all the latest from CTIA on Phonescoop’s website.

I’m into technology as well, especially with cell phones. Those look like they might make nice phones, but I wouldn’t give up my iPhone 3G for nothing
