March 23, 2009 Box Office: ‘Knowing’ Tops Weekend Tally

The Nicholas Cage-driven, Knowing, tops this weekend’s box office, earning $24.8 million domestically. Paramount’s R-rated I Love You, Man starring Quincy Jones’ celebuspan, Rashida Jones, racked up $18 million to land in second place. The Julia Roberts-Clive Owen powered film, Duplicity, opened below expectations in third with $14.4 million despite its high-profile cast and glowing reviews.
Disney’s latest family adventure film, Race To Witch Mountain, decreased a modest 47% in sales from its opening weekend for a total of $13 million. Comic book-based Watchmen drew up $6.7 million in business to bring its cume to $98.1 million.

Oh my gosh…. “Knowing” was soo good… it was very deep and sad and Amazing all at the same time!
i didn’t know it was based on Adam and Eve and the Tree of Life until the end…
