March 20, 2009 Obama On Leno: Did You Watch?

reabaracktopper_110408

Love muffins, did you get a chance to watch the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night?

He talked about how large companies should take greater financial responsibility for their actions and the steps needed for “long-term economic growth.” Obama also gave explanations as to why we’re in the financial mess that we’re in (ie, the AIG bailout and bonuses), and discussed how we need to have “regulatory common sense” in place so we don’t face the same economic problems again.

His witty one-liners and charming demeanor will make you laugh and like him even more.

If you missed it, watch Jay sitting down with Barack.

  • He’s wooooooonderful, a breath of fresh air, real, down to earth…his family is beautiful I’m happy for him because he seems to be doing exactly what he wants to do right now. The Presidency is just the beginning for him. I see him topping even that accomplishment…you watch. Yes! we have a smart President…yeah.

  • He has hurt many families in America. He needs to say he is sorry in the public, not to an organization.

In addition, someone who claims to have experienced prejudice and stereotypes throughout life, and has written about them in great detail, should be more sensitive and refined from life’s lessons.

Furthermore, Obama claimed he was going to have the world think ‘highly’ of America again. Will this joke help?

For someone who spoke of equality as a creed. Does this joke match that philosophy?

For someone that said he would stand for all people. Does this stand up for those that participate in the Special Olympics?

The fact is Obama claimed a higher standard. To much is given, much is required.

Obama has just showed us that ‘yes we can’ destroy what a campaign stands for with a single joke.

  • to reply to the previous comment…Honey, he has been president for 2 full months now AND OUR SITUATION IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE OVERNIGHT. He is not to be held responsible for things that have been going on for YEARS!!!

    An-ty-who….I absoultely LOVE OBAMA!!!!

  • @JAX….while i totally understand where you are coming from, please don’t forget that our president is a human being, prone to make mistakes just like everyone else.

it was a bad joke on his part while he was trying to make fun of himself.

he has apologized for it, and before this even happened, obama was an advocate for Special Olympics and similar programs.

Please don’t let this mishap on his part diminish your view of him. remember that everyone makes mistakes and says the wrong thing from time to time.

his heart is in the right place and i believe that he is doing everything possible to make things better for the american people.

GO OBAMA!!! I SUPPORTED THE MAN AND I AM NOT ABOUT TO WAIVER IN MY SUPPORT OF HIM BEHIND A BAD JOKE….because that is what it was.
