Oh my! The guest list at the Metropolitan Opera’s 125th Anniversary Gala yesterday included some very stylish ladies like Zoe Saldana, Claudia Schiffer, and Emily Mortimer. But my favorites were the above-pictured Parker Posey, Becki Newton, and Mary-Kate Olsen. I loved the old glamour Parker and Mary-Kate went for – very opera appropriate. MK really has a way of making length work for her regardless of her petite stature. I threw Becki Newton in there for good measure because I love how she takes risks without flopping. The green shimmer looks stunning on her, but it’s hard for her to look bad in anything, really. Here’s hoping 2009 will bring more events where ladies go for sophistication.
