March 10, 2009 Apple: No More U2 + Touchscreen Mac?

Apple and U2 have enjoyed a successful relationship that began in 2004 with the release of the iPod U2 Special Edition. The relationship went on to include massive marketing campaigns featuring the band’s likeness in commercials, billboard campaigns, etc. What a difference a smartphone makes. Apple arch-rival RIM (the Canadian maker of Blackberry) has reportedly signed on as the official sponsor of U2’s upcoming U2 360 tour that will play Europe and North America.
On another note, Apple is apparently bringing the touchscreen concept it made so hugely popular with the iPhone and iPhone 3G, to its notebook computers. Yes, it’s been rumored that Apple has recruited Taiwanese parts manufacturer Wintek to start producing displays for an upcoming touchscreen notebook.
Love muffins, how do you feel about a touchscreen Macbook? Are you into it?
Thoughts?

Blackberry rocks <3
Also, I have a Macbook and personally I wouldn’t change it for anything, but I don’t think I’d ever get a touchscreen notebook, say MacBook or something else. I’m too messy for touchscreen stuff, I couldn’t even take care of an iPhone for more than 2 months! Sounds like a good idea if you can handle it though

I was wishing Apple came out with one. It’s crazy how ever few months they come out with a new updated something. I know tech changes ever 6 months but wow. I have the last Macbook not the new one but, will get the TouchScreen MacBook Pro when it comes out im sure next year at the 2010 Macworld Conf. But it’s rumored to come out in Oct. We shall see!

Touch is very convienient and cutting edge- especially the way Apple does it – They made computers elegant.
