March 4, 2009 Billboard: Taylor Swift Still Reigning

Country sweetheart Taylor Swift will spend her 11th week atop the Billboard Top 200 when the chart is posted tomorrow. The set continues its dominance with an 11% increase in sales to sell 73,000 copies domestically. Not since Santana’s Supernatural spent 12 weeks at the crown in 1999 and 2000 has an album lasted this long at the top.
Debuting in the number two spot is Lamb of God’s Wrath, scanning 68,000 copies. The Jonas Brothers land at number three with 3D Concert Experience and 50,000 copies. Still riding high after its Oscar sweep, the soundtrack to Slumdog Millionaire jumps 22-4 on a 109% sales increase with 44,000. Rounding out the top five is Nickelback’s Dark Horse with 41,000 units sold.
Another album of note is Lady Gaga’s The Fame. The set continues its push up the top ten to number seven, selling 32,497 copies and riding high on the strength of her second top ten single, “Poker Face.”
On the singles side, Flo Rida’s Right Round continues its reign at pole position on the Billboard Hot 100, riding high on 334,312 digital downloads.
