February 27, 2009 Chris Brown To Plead Self-Defense?
Chris Brown will allegedly plead self-defense in his court case, stating Rihanna attacked him.
Charged with making criminal threats, Brown was released on $50,000 bail.
The 19-year-old singer is waiting to see if the charges will be brought to court, and is set to accuse Rihanna of initiating the altercation on February 7.
“Chris is already building his case. He’s saying she threw a phone at him, then hit him in the head and basically just lost it. He’s saying she attacked him,” according to one unnamed source.
Says another unnamed source, “She’s devastated all this has become so public. She’s just angry and extremely humiliated that the whole world knows how much pain she’s in right now.”
Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman Jane Robison stated, “It may not happen. We don’t have the evidence yet. Los Angeles police detectives are still investigating. If detectives determine they need more time, they’ll set a new date for him to come into court.”
Brown’s arraignment date was originally set for March 5, but could be postponed pending the ongoing investigation.

No matter if she threw a cellphone at him or not, the damage that has been forced upon her was not just simply self-defense. He is from birth and until his last breath a man, and is far bigger than her. All of this could have been prevented if he would have just walked away.
And I am not saying that Rihanna is right for throwing a cellphone at him for a flirtatious text message or for any other reason… but somebody (Chris Brown) could have been the bigger person here.

Like I said theres 2 sides to EVERY STORY and I’m soooooo glad he’s finally telling what happened, everyones getting on my NERVES going on hear say and what not and it’s not right! I really cant see RiRi just sitting there absolutely innocent getting beat up. I’m on Team Chris as well!

not to say like tht, but i knew it wasnt all Chris Brwns fault. it didnt make NO! since, whtsoever. like, out of nowhere frm. yrs or a yr i think of bein’ together, he jst out && hit her for no apparent reason? tht dnt make no sense. she had to do smethin’ for him to release the anger out on her. but then again, theres NO! point of hitting a woman if you’re a man like BScott said. NO! woman deserves to, get hit. NO! woman. but, yeah. i’ll keep faith for them both to get themselves together on ths situation && wish them both the bst lck on there careers frm here on out.

I also wanted to add if it really was self defense as he “claim” lol then why
A: H doesn’t have a scratch on him
B: He gave her all those gifts and begged her to take him back. No man who was attacked by a woman wouldn’t beg her to take her back and he surely wouldn’t buy her a diamond braclet, an iPod touch, and som other stuff.
He’s trying to cover his own a$$ so he doesn’t go to jail. CB is full of shyt!
I’ve slapped my ex in the face once or whatever but he never put his hands on me. He gave me a look that said don’t push it, but he damn sure never touched me. CB is not a real man!

I just don’t get it. If you hit me then I will hit you back. Period. Ri shouldn’t have gotten dog walked, but a slap deserves a slap back. If you can’t take the hit back then take it upon yourself to throw a lick. So that “No reason to hit a woman” bull is for the birds. She needs to take responsibility for her actions like he needs to take responsibility for his. NO ONE HAS A GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO LAY HANDS ON YOU BASED ON GENDER EXCEPT FOR YOUr PARENTS and some point you draw the line there also. I repeat he shouldn’t have beat her like a dude, but because she is a woman doesn’t mean he should have just set there and let her hit on him.

He still could have just walked away. This is why the public can not or should not take sides and judge the situation because we do not know the entire story. Side Note: Men are also victims of abuse, but they don’t have anyone rushing to their side feeling sorry for them.

Ok..im going to say this cause I’ve held my tongue way too long. For a man to put that type of beatdown on a FEMALE in PUBLIC, no way was this the first time. The cane, the eye patch, please. All them reasons why she had them were pathetic. I’m not knocking Chris nor am I knocking RiRi. They need to grow up and apart. Dude needs to realize his childhood did affect him and Ol’ girl needs to realize she needs to nip this in the bud before it becomes a pattern with all her relationships. Lets be thankful they only 19 and they have a chance of changing their ways.

some people go to anger management classes so they can control their anger when people say or do things to them.
as i said before i wasnt there i dont know what occurred. but theres 3 sides to every story. and in this case its chris-rihanna and the entire truth which the public will never know. only chris and rihanna know what happened that day.
im not ASSUMING NOTHING, like so many people on this message have already done now and in the past.
