Love muffins, if you missed the 81st Annual Academy Awards which aired on Sunday, then you missed a festive musical performance featuring Hugh Jackman, Beyonce, and real-life couples: Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical), Amanda Seyfield and Dominic Cooper (Mamma Mia!) who performed songs from Chicago, Grease, Moulin Rouge and more. It was quite interesting. Thoughts?

  • It was so cute. I loved how B switched it up and sounded all broadway but still kept a little soul in there. Hugh Jackman is so talented

  • I loved it!!!!! Hugh Jackman did a wonderful job. And, of course Beyonce did her thing!!!!

  • I really enjoyed this! Let’s hope Etta doesn’t act stupid this time…..This was cute!

  • I LOVE ME SOME BEY

  • I love how she put “At Last” in there….letting Etta know that At Last is not her song that it belongs to a musical….HA HA HA

  • Hugh J. was great and Beyonce was fantabulous!

  • THEY HAD ME CRYING!!!!

I have never seen a performance on TV that powerful EVER in life.

    I absolutely LOVED that.

    Beyonce wasn’t too SOULFUL either.

    She played it just right.

    I love her.

    THE ILLUSTRIOUS ONE
    SAHYID

  • Loved it…it was too cute!

and LOLL!!! Etta…she must be fuming in her seat right now LOL

Third Oscar show Beyonce has performed at…Haters fall back! Get it Ms. Knowles!!!

  • This was absolutetly fabulousity at it’s best. I actually watched the whole broadcast without feeling the urge to change the station. I was entertained with Hugh from the beginning of the show, and that opening with Anne Hathaway..OMG..she shocked the all time hell out of me..incredible. Hugh really is a talented, sexy as hell man..and yes the number with Beyonce and company was spectacular..my gurl Beyonce..yes hoNey..yes. Great show!

  • time for those dance lessons. Beyonce looked beautiful and sounded wonderful.

  • I hate to be Miss Negative Nancy but since I am a theatre girl I am a little more critical of theatrical performances and this my dears was not a good one.

    1. Beyonce was the only one wearing all red like this performance was about her. Why does she have to lead everything? I love that she is talented but can she be a team player just once.

    2. In what musical is the song “At Last” featured in? Is she just going to sing this everywhere she goes? If I was Etta I would be pissed too. I’m sorry but Etta made that song what it is and all she wants is a little credit and attention. Poor old gal.

    3. And I wish that they got Jennifer Hudson to do that performance since she actually won the OSCAR for a musical. I’m just sayin’

  • Did we watch the same performance here because the one I saw with Hugh, Bey, Zac and Vanessa was dreadful! Bey lipsynched, her legs did look very plump, the song combination was horrible and everyone looked like they had no idea what they were doing!

The above people need to stop stanning over this chick and recognise when she is not at her best. I haven’t seen her do a decent performance in years! Keep kissing her ass though because she pays your bills right?

  • Beyonce did a wonderful job coz other than that i would had been changed the station. hugh worked well with her i hope she does broadway eventually. Me love beyonce she is so exciting to watch!!!!

  • I thought it was a job well done but you you know everyone was has to get they hateraide cuz they know B and Hugh did it now they gotta hate. Sad………but you not doing it right unless ur getting hated on so.

  • I am not the biggest Beyonce fan but I will say that the performance was fun. Keep in mind it was not the Tony Awards so leave the Broadway criticism out of it. Let’s be real, there are women on Broadway who could clean Bee’s clock and sing live doing it. Not a fair comparison since the ladies and gentlemen of Broadway work years to even grace the stage, respectfully.

The only concern I have is whether or not this is going to be Beyonce’s intro to Broadway. You know she wants the four big awards, Emmy-Grammy-Tony-Oscar. Usher, Fantasia, etc all did it so I guess she is next. She will at least sell tickets if not win a Tony.

  • Bey HAD to sing At Last.
She just can’t kick that song out her system
EVEN after Etta threatened to ‘whoop’ her. Lawd.

    Cool, I guess.
