B Scott. I am a Barbadian (Bajan) and when I first heard the news I wanted to fly to LA and show him what its like to get his butt whooped. I have no time for any man who would hit a woman. And what he did to Rihanna in this picture – my heart is breaking. All of Barbados loves her and supports her. I just threw out his CD and the movie “This Christmas” – which I loved but I will not have anything in my house EVER that has his name on it! He is less than a man! He is slime and I hope she finds true love one day and knows that nothing he did was her fault. My heart is breaking for her. Thank you for supporting her so strongly. I am so mad at all the meely mouth Hollywood types who seem afraid to speak out and say Domestic Violence is WRONG! I hope he loses everything – he deserves no less. What a dog!

I agree with B Scott on this one. Even before the pics came out – it was irrelevant to me when people were saying they had to hear both sides or that “Rihanna provoked Chris.” This is horrifying. Look at the expression on her face. She is heart broken. There is clearly only 1 side to this story. Chris Brown is a loser in my book.

it doesn’t matter what the specifics of the story are CHRIS BROWN BEAT UP ON RIHANNA. We don’t need know how they got to the point where her face looks like that, all we need to know is that it was from Chris Brown’s hands. We all know that because Chris released a statement a few days ago and he didn’t DENY the accusations case in point.
No woman should look like that from a man’s hands. I have girl friends who hit me all the time and I know it would hurt twice as much if I was to hit them even slightly, because I am bigger than they are anatomically so.

First let me start off by saying I don’t condone violence what so ever but I’m confused as to how everyone can say he deserves to lose everything and we should stop listening to his music and supporting him. If who we supported was based on what they did in their personal lives then there would hardly be any artists on our ipods or anywhere else. Some people have done things we probably will never know about. Yes the boy did something extremely stupid and wrong but to condemn him to having a ruined and horrible life over this is crazy to me. We all have done things that we arent proud of and no one knows what’s going on in Chris Brown’s head. If he gets help and is truly remorseful for what he has done then who are we to say he should never have a career ever again? He should be punished but after that everyone should just let it go. I’ve been on this site several times and have seen videos by BScott on the goodness of God. I don’t know about anyone else but in knowing all of that you also know that God is a forgiving God and if he forgives Chris (if he’s asked for forgiveness) for what he’s done all of this negative energy shouldn’t exist. Everybody just wants to toss somebody away when they do something but never try to offer help. Makes no sense to me. I’ll pray for BOTH of them and hope that something good comes from this situation that will help those who it needs to help.

Her injuries are several hours old in this photo (according to the hosiptal) and LAPD would FIRE the officer(s) who would release something like this…and they know exeactly who took pictures of her at the station. I believe these are from her camp…as you predicted. My prayers are with both of these young people. They will BOTH need our support.

They deserve their day in court. He should pay the price for this, but they both need counseling. My aunt’s husband stabbed and killed her outside of divorce court and he got 7 years for murder. I think whats even more wrong than takign sides is the fact that Rihanna is not being protected as a victim of domestic violence. WHY are here pictures even available? Because she is a celebrity? Chris Brown shouldn’t have put his hands on her. If she’s a fiesty and abusive female, then he should’ve washed his hands of her completely a long time ago.
NOW, to play devil’s advocate: A lot of people are getting really shocked by this photo (which I don’t feel should have been released) but keep in mind a few things: Her eyes do not look to be bruised and blackened, but the result of crying and wiping away makeup. Her lip is busted, but the marks around her mouth look to be the remains of dried and wiped away blood. When all cleaned up she probably didn’t look as bad as this photo shows, which would explain her family members saying that her injuries were being blown out of proportion by the media.
We don’t know what happened, and while Chris is definitely wrong it doesn’t mean that Rihanna was a complete victim in this situation. Unless you know her personally and know her character you have no idea what part she may have played in this altercation. Ever see the movie “Thin Line Between Love & Hate”?
I believe Chris’s career can be deemed as over, and he will have to suffer these consequences, but we should be careful before painting him as a complete monster. We don’t know what actually occurred.

I feel bad that this happened to Rihanna – but after looking at the picture a while, it looks to be scrapes on her face that were not caused by a hand. It looks like her face scraped up against the pavement. Especially around her chin area and her mouth, it looks like she smacked the pavement.
If it was true and he did lay a hand on her in anyway, I dont condone it.. but if you look at the picture long enough – it looks like that couldnt’ be caused by a hand.

This is heartbreaking…you can just tell that her spirit is broken. This girl has a lot of healing to do, and not just in the physical sense. I hope justice comes to her, and Chris Brown pays the price for what he did. He should be ashamed of himself, and he basically ruined the career that he had. I can’t even see him as an entertainer anymore, just a woman beater.

It does not matter how young Chris Brown is, what the TRUE story is, or that he apologized. A man should NEVER lay their hands on a woman…I don’t CARE what the story is. That is ridiculous.
No one is acting as if this is the only case of domestic abuse. It is simply in the news because they are famous. It’s bad because it spills Rihanna’s business in a time when she probably needs a break…but it also shows that domestic violence IS common and is something serious. It happens all of the time…too often.
Also…for those of you saying the pic isn’t that bad. you really need to get your eyes checked. It is completely clear that she has a busted lip, knots on her head, and her eyes are blackened…you can see the bruising under her eye lids and on the top of her cheek bones. That clearly is NOT smeared make-up or whatever other BS excuse you are trying to give.

FAKE FAKE FAKE. hey people instead of making judgments based off of sketchy information and unreliable sources, why don’t you do the research yourself. go look up pictures of rihanna’s tattoo on her shoulder. its the roman numeral tattoo that appears in the supposed picture of the battered rihanna. i went and look up photos of rihanna prior to this event and i found pictures of her with the tattoo. the first reason why this photo is fake is due to the fact of the tattoo. look at the position, if that was really rihanna’s tattoo it would not show in the picture b/c it would be farther down her shoulder. the second reason why this pic is fake is due to her eyebrows. how is it that she managed to keep eye makeup on but her eyebrow are not full like they were at the event prior to leaving. also, u don’t see any traces of makeup (besides the eyeshadow which should have been smeared if chris brown hit her in the eyes) anywhere on her face. oh and another thing, looking at the nose on the leaked photo compared to pictures of rihanna’s face you can clearly see that it is not hers. i understand swelling and everything but the shape just doesn’t fit. people, go do some research if you are really interested in this story. don’t just passed judgments based off of hearsay! but i am telling u that this pic is 100% FAKE!!!

I do believe that there is no good reason or excuse for any man to hit any woman OR vice versa. There are women out there that abuse men. And when them men finally turn around and lose it, they play the victim. I know, cause I have a friend who does that to her husband. She agitates him to set him off. She believes that if he doesn’t hit her, then he doesn’t love her. Hey – its not my twisted mind, its hers. But she has whooped up on every man she has ever been with! Cause she feels she can, cause no man should hit a woman, and then they do. And she can’t leave.
Not saying that’s what has happened here, cause we all know we haven’t heard the full details. Granted full details wont make it right or justified, but may explain some things.
I think Chris was wrong, and needs help. I hope he gets it and comes back stronger and wiser. I hope & pray that Rihanna does not go back into a relationship with him, or make a habit of being with abusive men. She will also need help for this.
As far as banning him. I’m not a hard core fan of either. But I am with “Thehell?!?!” when I say if you guys are gonna ban his music/movies…oh then get ready to fully clean your ipod. They say no one sin is greater than the other – so you should look up the background of each artist and go to deleting!! I mean if we go off they did a bad thing we disagreed with we’d all be listening to a Sesame Street soundtrack for the rest of our lives!
And the video with Jay-Z was not recent, it was old, but it showed him hitting a woman in a crowd of people. Don’t think you can find it anywhere now.

B. First of all let me say that I in no way condone what Chris Brown has allegedly done to Rhianna. The pictures are awful and I fully support her. But to say that we demand money back and to totally inialate him from society in the future is a bit premature. As a christian, I believe in forgiveness and prayer. We must pray for Chris in that he is learning from what he has done and take from this experience and show the world that he can emegere a better person. We must be willing to give him a chance to see if he can take this opportunity to promote some kind of awareness for young men because the platform is there now. If he doesn’t show us that he is truly sorry and use this tragic event to speak out against domestic violence, then I might feel a little different about him. I just ask that everyone not be so judgemental. Remember that that there is only one judge. I can remember when I was little and hearing stories about Rev. Al Green and him beating his wife. Somehow the black culture was able to forgive him because he is just as famous now as he was then. Not that I want that for Chris. I’m just saying that we need to be prayerful for both these young people in that they are able to make better decisions for themselves as they get older.
