February 17, 2009 Marc Jacobs Fall 2009
Exclusive 2009 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Coverage

I’ve never been a fan of 80s throwbacks, but Marc Jacobs’ nod to 1980s New York is a feel-good Collection. Though some looks are rather severe, we have to appreciate the nuances of the trends MJ is predicting for Fall 2009. Neon brights will be big, but on a more subtle stature. Sequins, capes, and volume at the shoulders will also go from runway to the streets come September. Marc Jacobs is known for doing everything big, and with this collection we see that he hasn’t forgotten what has made the house what it is today – being unapologetic and nostalgic keeps the masses coming back for more season after season.

I’m feeling the pink dress. Is that the girl from the City. The model one who dates Adam.

Hot Mess!! Some fashion trends need to stay in the coffins and time capsules they were buried in.
