For those of you commending Jay-Z for what he is saying NOW, you might not know that right after this surfaced he said "Chris is a walking dead man". There in it self threatening the man's life. There is also statements of Rihanna hitting CB also, so I guess when you keep shit bottled inside and it builds you do something you would of never done. I am no way condoning what he did because he should of never hit her, BUT if it is correct that she has been hitting on him behind closed doors, she shouldn't do that either.
Yes, we hear of men beating on their significant others, but what about the women being on their men? No one ever tries to arrest those women because, society sees it as her defending herself when in fact sometimes women do it just because they know "he's nothing to hit me back so who cares". That could also be the story here but still he might of had enough. I feel bad for both of them, whether they stick it through or not, they need need therapy for this.
Men being their women or vice versa is WRONG. Men usually get the blunt end of the stick because they are men, which isn't fair all the time, even when it could be self defense on their end the woman will 90% the time get off free because the show sympathy for them more than the men who do get beat too.

I am so saddened by this Rihanna and Chris Brown situation. I've been on tour with Chris and he is a really sweet kid. Before everyone passes judgement on either of them or their relationship we need to pray for them both as humans with hearts. We don't know the truth of this situation and they BOTH need our support. There have been things in the media about Rihanna's past as it relates to violence as well...so clearly they both have anger issues. It's not ok for male or female to act out violently against another and especially towards someone you say you love or family. They both need prayer to deal with their anger issues and both need counseling at this point. I pray that they put their careers in the proper perspective and get the help they need. Life is too short for all this madness and no amount of money or fame is worth living life in darkness.

Like I said b4 i really don't care for Rihanna but on that same note i don't feel he should have put his hands on her if that has happened, media blows too much out of proportion and we haven't exactly seen the bruises with our own eyes, they say police "sources say", who are these so called sources.I personally believe people live for waiting for these stars to just f*** up..How crude, so we can have something to gossip about and spread the wrong rumor or lie.

i think everybody's jumping the gun with this whole Chris Brown and Rihanna situation. like always, the media jumps all over it to sell a story and we all bite like gossip hungry fools. i have to wait until the 'real' story surfaces. since neither side spoke on it yet i thinks it's fair to not pass judgement on something we don't fully know. i do agree that no man should ever hit a woman unless his life depended on it - i also believe that every person has a right to be innocent until proven otherwise. it's sad that so many people have been treated so unfairly due to the media and public opinion yet when proven innocent no one offers an apology for ruining their lives. wait for Rihanna and Chris to speak and then sling the mud.

Beyonce will never be forgotten, Mathew Knowles won't let it happen. She is already put in our faces any way, even when we don't wanna see her. So imagine her with a damn baby :)

And Rihanna, I agree with Jay, put yourself in her shoes, as well as her families. You'd want your privacy for sure

To the reply above...I think Jay wants children too...cause really, he is 40 years old! I would want to have children by that age too. And being around children is not bad at all, it's actually an amazing experience whether they are good or bad.

About Rihanna...yeah we should support her and him, but if she does decide to stay with him is she considered weak? Could they possibly inform people about domestic violence together?

Sounds like Jay really wants kids soon, but his wife is too career-obsessed to let that happen. I think B knows that once she has kids she'll end up like J-lo- almost forgotten.

LMAO @ jay-z looking like the giant sized Ray Charles with those shades on. LOL but as far as kids, they can't possibly be trying get knocked up! Beyonce is clearly at the top of her game. Maybe in a couple of years, but right now she is doing her thing. As far as Rihanna, I bet he is really feeling for her especially since that used to be his chick on the side until B NOPE proceeded to lay down the Ring The Alarm track lol.

I'm actually really impressed with what Jay-Z had to say. He made his opinion firmly known without attacking anyone, which is what I think everyone should do.

He hit the nail on the head. To all the people defending Chris Brown, like Jay-Z said: take all of the celebrity out of the equation and imagine it was your mother or sister or any female that you hold dear. Then ask yourself if you would be saying "she must have done something to deserve it," or "I bet she provoked it, she needs to stay off a man's back sometimes."

Again, it's not that people need to demonize Chris Brown. But what he needs right now is people encouraging him to get help...not trying to legitimize his actions.
