February 15, 2009 Chris Brown Finally Releases Statement!

The following statement was issued Sunday by a spokesman on behalf of Chris Brown:
“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person. Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

IDK…lol Even with his statement, the magnitude of what he did is still very big. Although, I am a person that believes in compassion and forgiveness. I still dont accept what he did or condone it, but I can see how he must be feeling very bad about the situation, so I send him some love, and I truly hope that he will emerges as a better person.

I think that Chris is sorry for what happen. he should face the consequences and that him and Rihanna definitely need to get help. I don’t know why everyone is putting him down and blaming Rihanna on what happened to her we don’t know what happen just Chris and Rihanna know. I know that no man should hit a women. But what do you say if a women physically abuse a man, shouldn’t she get the same criticism a man get for hitting a women. I feel it’s a double standard because I think that a man wouldn’t call a police if there were getting hit by a women and I feel that men might call that man a punk for letting her hit him. I’m not saying that Rihanna was hitting Chris first I’m just saying that it wouldn’t be a big deal if it was the other way around if a women has the balls to hit a man and a man just let it side and she keep doing it there is so much a person can take and what if there are couples in a sex relationship and there is physical abuse in the relationship do you say it’s ok that man hit a man and a women hit a women because it’s normal to see women fighting each other and men fighting each other come on now that’s ridiculous it’s only not ok for a man to hit a women PLEASE!!!!!! nobody needs to put there hands on nobody point blank period. I feel that people are saying that Chris career is over I don’t think that’s the case celebrities are doing more worse things out there and they still have there careers look at R.Kelly people know that he did what he did yet instill people bought his CDs and people are still doing music with him come on people are so hypercritical radio stations not playing Chris music and pulling his CDs yet they still play R.Kelly music. TI (who I love) still gets his music played and so forth celebrities who have been to jail managed to still have there careers people put celebrities on a pedestal I don’t look up to no celebrity I love their music and whateva they are doing with their careers people don’t realize that they are human and they make mistakes thats what humans do and Chris should get a second chance because he deserves it there are plenty of celebrities that have gotten a second, third, fourth, chance for getting into a fight, having a gun that he/she shouldn’t have and etc. yet we aren’t phased by it. What if you are the family of Chris you would stick by him even though you know he did wrong. Families stand by there relatives knowing that they robbed that bank or killed someone. You know that you would forgive him if he was your son, nephew, cousin or who ever so why can’t people forgive him for this just because he is a celebrities and you don’t want you kids listening to him no more. I feel for Rihanna I know that she didn’t deserve what she got she needs the support of her family and friends and the same for Chris people screw up and should learn from their mistakes that’s life.

*** Please don’t Read me for my opinion *** I think that Chris Brown deserves a 2nd chance. People make mistakes and learn from them. He is seeking help plus everyone knows that he loves Rihanna. Granted he was wrong for beating the dookie out of her but if she is willing to forgive him why doesn’t he deserve a 2nd chance. People do change. They are making this out to be bigger than what it really is. They need to do this out of court. She needs to get help as well because she has to have some self esteem issues because I doubt this is the 1st time but it certainly should and I pray that it is the last. Just pray for them. I love Chris I’m not a “stan” but I do think he is talented and that his talent will speak for him more than his negative actions has….

The thing that we fail to realize is that, honestly, this is not Chris Brown releasing a statement. All this is done through his management and public relations team. Every celebrity has one and in trials as such, they come in handy bc they know exactly what to say to not justify , but rather sooth the situation. This tactic is used to holdover fans and send out some type of communication bc we wanna know whats up.
Regardless of what the provoking actions were in this incident… at the end of the day it boils down to whether or not he physically attacked her. If so, then not only does he need to seek some sort of counseling , but he needs to be reprimanded for his actions. Even if the situation evolved from Rihanna attacking him first, the insenuated fact that remains is that there are no visible traces that would reveal as such. Also, leaving her at the scene as your flee is almost equivalent to leaving someone for dead. (of course this is all assuming as if it went down as speculators say)
Do i feel if Chris Brown’s career is over? No. I do not, however he will not have the success that he wouldve experienced, had he not been involved in this legality issue. We can use R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, Ike Turner, T.I, Janet Jackson, etc… as examples of people who went on to still have careers post all of there legal issues and incidents, however track records on all artists have proven decline in album sales.
T.I. out of this list might be the only person that may not have suffered as much, but for a rapper, drugs and weapons are expected even assumed to be given.
R. Kelly still may have his career , but his album sales have declined dramatically in additon to his concerts going from being held in arenas to more opera house style settings. Michale Jackson… need i say anything. Janet jackson, since her slight mishap, she has been released and/or dropped from 3 record labels as well as not being able to put out a withstanding single. Ike Turner, do you even have an album of his not inlcuding Tina on it?
What we need to realize is that Chris Brown is more of an entertainer, less a singer. As he continues in his musical career his physical image will change, along with his vocal abilities. It can work for him or against him. More than likely against him bc he is received well due to his, once known as, clean boyish like image. I honestly can not see him emerging from an entertainer into a singer. It is the entertainers that you see with the endorsement/campaign deals. As of right now he is at high risk.
So we will see what goes down and what is revealed. I always say there is nothing to be sorry about if you didn’t do anything.

B.Scott Love all you do, however i am indifferent with you about this situation. The reason is because until everything is out legally i dont think we should jump sides however we all do have a opinion which i def respect urs and anyone elses. The thing i say is that the damage that he did to her yes is a mess and he should not have put his hands on her no man should hit a woman. But with him being trainned in martial arts i think if he really wanted to do some harm to her he def would have so I think that it was a lil too much but it was also in defense of himself. Anyone man or woman has a cut off point to when they cant jus take no more and snap some do take it way too far. So I do feel sorry for rihanna but also i feel sorry for Chris cuz his name is getting ran thru the mudd when it was only them two in the car and the witness who says they seen it other than that we all need to jus wait and see wat happens and jus pray for both…
