“the art” apparently has no clue what they are talking about. Kelly Clarkson also co-wrote some of the songs on her Breakaway album. She did not just start writing for My December. For “Breakaway” Kelly Clarkson co-wrote songs like “Because of You” and “Walk Away”.

I’m feeling the song… I think it’s reminiscent of Since U Been Gone, without being a copy of it. I’m looking forward to her upcoming album as I have enjoyed ALL her albums.

Have to say her last album, My December… is an EXCELLENT album… people just never took the time to listen… it’s a lot darker than “Breakaway”… but it’s great to listen to, as I’m sure many can relate to some of the stuff she sings about… I wish people would actually listen to the album they say is no good… (no offense to anyone, just a general statement).

I think “My Life Would Suck Without You” is going to do well and I hope Kelly is able to find a balance between being a commercial artist and being able express herself, creatively…

Well her last album flopped because she wrote or cowrote the songs on it and wanted more control but clearly she doesn;t have the songwriting talent to write her own stuff. She needs to do as her label say and let other writers write songs for her (even though I personally love songwriter singers) not everyone has the ability to write great crossover songs.

In todays tough market she’s gonna have to step her game up if she wants to have another hit.

This song is okay but its not as great as Because of you, since you’ve been gone, miss independent etc. Sounds like she;s trying to recreate that same sound but I think she needs to do something a little different if she wants to have a successful album

I still like her as an artist so I wish her the best.

Eh…it’s just not doing it for me.

Which is sad, because I like Kelly Clarkson. Her album breakaway was a masterpiece…but her problem is that Breakaway (specifically “Since You Been Gone”) was SUCH a success that it seems like she’s trying to hit the same note. Just like everything from her last album, this song sounds like something that got cut from Breakaway.

Kelly Clarkson needs to evolve a bit. Instead of song after song where she sings the verses softly and then screams a chorus.
