December 25, 2008 Singer Actress Eartha Kitt Dies At 81!
Love muffins legend Eartha Kitt, 81, died today in New York, where she was being treated for colon cancer according to her publicist, Patty Freedman. Kitt’s daughter, Kitt Shapiro, was by her side. Being the true diva that she was she was performing almost until the end, taping a PBS special six weeks ago in Chicago, Illinois. The show is set to air in February. Kitt was best known for her one of a kind voice and made a name for herself in her portrayal of Catwoman in the television series Batman which produced Kitt’s recognizable sultry cat growl.

Dang that really saddens me….I lost my favorite aunt Claudine who was like a second mother, best-friend and my strength to Breast Cancer in 02/11/2001 and my Granny Ingram who was my comforter, best-friend, my hope and encouragement to Colon Cancer in 05/21/2007..*tears*..I really liked Eartha especially in the movie “Boomerang” as Lady Eloise! Rest In Peace Eartha and you will be missed. Tell My Te-Te Dean, my Granny Ingram and my sweet Grandmother Lillian who also passed away 01/23/2008 of health complications….please tell them hello, I love and miss them and I can’t wait to go to Heaven to be with them again……*tears*……
