December 9, 2008 Fantasia Barrino About To Be Evicted?
The American Idol season three winner, Fantasia Barrino, was spotted arriving at The Cracked Xmas Fundraiser supporting The Trevor Project held at The Wiltern Theater Sunday night in Los Angeles. However, she is about to be evicted from one of her homes in North Carolina. According to US magazine, unless the 8-time Grammy-nominated singer can make [the] necessary payments, the 6,232 square-foot home will be auctioned off on January 12th. I am sad to hear that, but hopefully everything will work out for her. Thoughts? View more pictures after the jump –

Sounds like she’s got some dead beat family members living in that house and she doesn’t want to be the one to tell them to go!

What was her foolish self doing buying more than ONE home…greedy much? Her solo career aint going that great and she’s on broadway…broadway stars dont even make that much money to afford more than one home. She should have known better…

i completely agree what was she doing buying more than one home? Her records don’t sell like hotcakes and I don’t think she writes material so where would the income come? Even the most successful Broadway stars usually live in ONE reason really nice apartment, maybe condo in Manhattan.

I guess it went to her head. I guess she saw the stars and keeped reaching up and up (nothing wrong with that), but come on, at her level she can’t live in all those places at once.
Sometimes we need to learn to be humble and humility.

Fantasia Barrino I love you honey, but you won “American Idol” not the “World Idol”, and I haven’t see her face on any make up, hair product, not even a “Stay Free” Ad, so honey. You have to hustle in the business you are in or it will eat you ALIVE.
I pray to God that someone can buy back the place and just give it to her so, she can sell it and bank the money for her child ZION….

The people complaining about the number of homes she had obviously have never had even a modest amount of money. When people “get rich” buying real estate for investment purposes is one of the first things they do. For the person going on about buying a small apartment in Manhattan… do you know how many homes can be purchased in North Carolina for the same price as a “nice” condo in Manhattan? Several. If it is even true that her home is about to be auctioned, there are several plausible reasons, but the very fact of her having more than one home is ridiculous. The home and investments in Charlotte were pretty modest, and she does live in two locales (New York and NC) She bought the property while the housing market was booming… why wouldn’t she make that investment rather than throw money away renting?

She will remain my daughter no matter what the test. She made a great investment in her own life and the lives of so many others. For those of you who are hating, get in touch with that fact. For those of you who are praying, continue to do so and for those of you who have no dreams of your own, get some. Fantasia, I love what you are attempting to do in life and believe you me, it is all a risk, part of the issue for so many of the monday morning hitters is the fact that they themselves have never attempted to reach anything but a sho nuff something, which by the way has no guarantees and the only thing that they themselves guarantee is to remain scared to fail and to continue hating those that reach for something even if it is a risk, Risk are part of growth but then they would not know that because they are too scared to grow. Continue doing the durn thang Tasia and continue to allow God to use you because He is working it out for your good. Ps, loved you ministering on Bobby Jones Gospel, remain an inspiration and remember that it is a haters job ta hate. K!

And another thing. I enjoyed watching you each time I saw you in the CP and knew right away that the role was tailor made for you. Was also happy to hear that you were possibly returning to the role in the near future. I remember watching you on AI and saying to myself “I love this young lady and hope many great opportunities for her” And I trust God for your future and your maturity throughout this joiurney, No one can seperate us from the love of God and He who began a great work in you is faithful to complete it. So go on my sister/daughter and be all that He is calling you to be in this hour. Keep encouraging others, keep raising your daughter to be all that she can and will be, and keep leaning on God for He alone is worthy.
When I say you have established a place in my rib, I mean it. God’s love to you and Zion and your entire family forever. Oh, yeah and when I get some mo money, I will come to see you in the CP again, cause cant nobody do that one like you do, believe that Sweetie!
