December 4, 2008 NeNe Leakes: “I Was Not Evicted!”
As previously posted over the past several days there have been rumors circulating on the internet that Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes (on the right in the above picture) had been evicted from her house in Atlanta, Georgia. Well, NeNe insists the reports of her being evicted from her home have been greatly exaggerated according to the following statement:
“The recent rumors alleging that my family faced an eviction are a huge misunderstanding and grossly inaccurate. I am truly blessed to enjoy a wonderful life and lifestyle. We have indeed moved to another home, but we did so on our own free will. We live in an absolutely beautiful home and we are fortunate to be able to live in the place of our choice. Unfortunately, there are many families who are facing real foreclosures and real evictions. That is not and never was the case with us. I know where we live and how we live, and for those blessings I am humbly thankful. It is disappointing that many members of the media have chosen to report gossip instead of news. Without wasting time on the details, the only thing I will say is that we were NOT evicted. Everybody knows that I like to be honest, real and upfront. If something was wrong, I would tell you! Thank you for your well wishes. However, please know that my family continues to be abundantly blessed, and that Miss NeNe has not skipped a beat!” [Source]

nene was NOT evicted. she has a beautiful townhome in deluth! don’t trip! the houses they used for the show are phony! sheree had to beg her ex to tape in their house. the only people who’se REAL homes were shown are Ed and Ho Kim and DeChomps and Eric. everyone else was stuntin for tv. notice how the homes barely looked “lived in” etc…..if ya didn’t know. now ya knooooow knoooooow!

ummmm…regardless of whether her name was on the lease or not, SHE was still evicted and had SHE not vacated the premises on whatever date the order was served, SHE would have been thrown out by the sheriff…trust and believe! I still love my NeNe though!!!

I appreciate the fact that despite nene’s straightforward and down to earth attitude…she is able to articulate and speak VERY well…NOW that’s what I call a true sister! Go nene girl!

The alleged eviction is bullshyt. Many residences for reality programming are handled by production and once production ends, said residence of the home, which is technically the “site studio” or “remote soundstage” for reality production–have to be vacated. If show talent opts to use their own home then they are sometimes compensated for allowing the crew, etc to use the home as a site, usually.
Sheree’s house is her ex husbands and is one of the things she’s asking for in the divorce, but it is not her actual home at the moment, Kim’s crib is paid for by “other sources”–namely the married real estate developer she’s sleeping with. Lisa’s home on the show and DeShawn’s home are actually theirs.
It woulda been cool if Hartwell and Associates inked the deal with Bravo to provide luxury residences for show production, they would have gotten a nice little opp from that.

NeNe, I think you are a wonderful lady. I enjoyed watching you on the show. Try not to take too much offence from ppl talking about you being evicted or not. most ppl like to make the comments rather good or nasty because they feel by watching you on t.v. that they become part of your family in a way. take that as a compliment. And lord help us, we know what family is like.lol As far as Kim and your relationship.. It is my opinion that you should talk with her and try to work things out. I feel that she’s not a bad person.. Just a little on the dumb side when it comes to picking her friends. Her girl is a trouble maker and FAKE. Don’t ever bother yourself with the likes of her. Your an up front and honest person. Once Kim opens her eyes up to her they wont last long as friends. Keep strong girl.

Just to follow up, the a “news” story on her alleged “eviction” is to air on the Fox 5 News, here in Atlanta this evening at 6 and 10 pm. I still think it’s convoluted bull
