Love muffins, our girl Brit Brit performed her hit single “Womanizer” for the first time at the Bambi Awards 2008 Show Thursday night in Offenburg, Germany. At first glance, I thought it was Madonna on stage – but no, it was Britney Spears. She’s back but she’s still warming up – she looked absolutely amazing! I don’t know what it is but Britany just isn’t the same anymore…not as a performer nor as an artist…and this is coming from someone who wants her to get better…(((sigh)))

Hmm…I thought that she did very well. The performance wasn’t too raunchy, and the choreography wasn’t excessively dirty or anything. She did a great job.

I think she killed it. She’s 26 and alot has happened in her life so of course things wouldn’t be the same as they were when she was 22
For what it’s worth, the show was a little classy and she toned down the original routine and made it work.

I figured it out! (O_O)!
She’s attempting to sing live (Live w/the aid of a backing track-9 of 10 its usually just the backtrack) thats why she seems so stiff. Dancing like we’re used to seeing and singing live would be difficult to do at the same time. She trying to change her game–proud of her. Kudos Ms. Spears (^_^)!

Being 26 has nothing to do with it, really. 26 is still incredibly young, as far as dancing goes. She still has the physical ability to perform as great as she ever did. Hell, look at Janet.
No, with Britney it’s still a confidence thing. It’s mental. Don’t forget, this is her first time performing since that dreaded VMA performance, and not counting that it’s been almost three years since Britney performed regularly.
Simple put: she has to get her sea-legs back.
No offense to my European friends, but why do you think Britney’s team chose an awards show that nobody’s heard of or cares about to perform her big comeback single for the first time? It’s much less pressure than if she tried to do the American Music awards or, even worse, the VMA’s for her comeback.
This performance was all about Britney getting her confidence back. And I applaud her. She’s obviously not back to form, but she’s getting there. Keep doing these small award show performances, brit-brit, so that you can REALLY knock the haters on their asses when you hit a big stage!

the choreography needs work, and she was obviously lip synching. if your gonna lip then at least sound good doing it! her voice is soo bad though, its worse than rihanna’s.
Brit has taken 1 step forward and 10 steps back! Most artists show growth every few years, whilst her music is always the same and her “talent” has declined. The only nice thing i can say is that at least she’s trying to regain her life back.

I thought she did awesome, I don’t know why people expect her to be the same as she was when she was 17 especially when she’s been thru so much.
It was a good performance, not amazing but a solid effort.

Wow….dressed almost exactly like Madonna was when she sang “Human Nature” at her own concert, except Madonna’s hat was white. I hope Britney understands that while she may be profoundly influenced by Madonna, she is not Madonna. Britney needs to forge her own identity….still love her though.

similar to panic at the discos, nothing rhymes with circus tour, with stage acts and ‘circus’ theme
but theirs was alot lot better in my opinion
im a huge fan of her but lately ive lost all hope
it was good untill she stepped out the burning ring, then it went bad

Wow;
She did such a great job! Im so proud of her. Shes gotten soooo much better from last year. Im glad shes back on her feet. I’ve been a fan since she started being a singer, and stuck with her ever since. Even when she was bad, i was still with her. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BRIT.

UHHHHH WHAT THA!!!! Ok I love me some Britney but this was a fool!!! SHe didnt perform. SHe lip singed her ass across the stage. She looked great but she didnt perform. Brit used to bring it on stage performances. Maybe she is nervous that she will fail. I love her music, im just waiting for the performer to come back. We miss the old Britney!

It was MUCH better then her dreaded VMA comeback however she did lack energy and it was a bit stiff… Still, I am rooting for her, love her new CD, and I believe she will get better…

I think people aren’t thinking when they scrutinize her about performance. First, this performance was in a WHOLE different country, with rules, regulations and ideals of how when should look. Second: Look at the event, it was formal. VMA 07 was not appropriate. This, is a solid comeback performance. PERIOD. I mean, come on people. Shes human. Shes an entertainer. The reality is, you are watching her perform here for free. Its not like a concert that you paid to go see. So Enjoy it. I mean, im over it because I feel like shes damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t. If your not a fan, don’t buy her stuff or watch her performances to make comments. Shes doing what she loves and thats all that matters. And, the whole Janet comparison… Janet lip synchs as well, as well as BRANDY, Ashanti, Christina Aguilera: and EVEN BEYONCE.
Britney is Doing it and to be real, after damn near 7 years of madness, to perform like she never went off the deep end, I think she did and im overly proud!

i think she did ok considering….she was probably nervous as hell. once her confidence is completely back, she will be unstoppable again. i know she can do it.

this was much betta then the VMA’s SHe still got some more work 2 do as being comfortable on stage again but i think this was a good performance wasnt sure if she lip synch or not but i still liked it i’d like to see her dance more doh but still loved it its only the beginning of the performing again so i hope 2 see improvement i luv Britney

That performance was solid. If there were any true Britney fans and they were to go back and watch her performances, they would see it’s the same quality as her past performances. SMH.

Hmmmmm. there was a great lack of choreography in this….not at all entertaining…regardless of what she’s been through she hasnt forgotten how to dance…you dont lose your rhythm….thats impossible…so yeah this wasnt good…seemed middle-school pom pom squadish

I think some of the above comments are a bit harsh, Yes I do agree with the general viewpoint that something was a bit off.
She didn’t seem to be ‘OWNING’ the performance like she used to. But if you pay attention on the end shot you’ll see why…She was really scared, you could see it in her eyes and you can’t blame her, remember the last performance she did ((VMA’s) the whole world was laughing at her. I’m sure once she gets her confidence back the old Britney will return. Cos overall it was not a bad performance it just wasn’t mesmerizing.

this was her first real performance back…of course she is going to be nervous, stiff, all of those things.
i also agree that she probably is more stiff do to the fact that she wants to attempt to sing even though the backup track is covering her voice.
I think she should just full out dance, but I really blame it on Andre cause he is the choreographer and I feel what she has been given is a bunch of crap.
