My diva Mariah Carey looked super duper cute in a form fitted gown during her “I Stay in Love” performance at the 2008 American Music Awards Sunday night. Beyonce performed the hell out of “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” – I got a little nervous for her at one point, because I was afraid her goodies would have popped out. Leona Lewis performed as well. I wonder if Leona and Beyonce would ever do a song together? Ne-Yo had legs flying all around him during his performance while Taylor Swift sounded charming. I thought Christina did great, she did alot of songs and sounded amazing on all of them. At the end of Genie in a Bottle, it sounded like she was singing the wrong lyrics, but she just added some stuff i guess.
Rihanna put me to sleep as usual, she isn’t good live and how long is she going to milk this one cd?? Her voice isn’t good live, maybe it’s because they add so much extra stuff on her albums??
Beyonce did fantastic, single ladies has been out for awhile now, but I still want to jump out of my chair when it comes on.

B scott, beyonce didn’t perform if i were a boy,but her single ladies performance was off the chain. It was the only performance that really got the crowd rocking. That alicia keys performance was amazing as well. Everything else I found to be an afterthught. I think this awards show showed us who the two divas in the industry are and they both are on their way to being legends.

Okay..Christina..love’n the new curves..she looks really adorable. The melody was appropriate because of her decade of hits album and it was hot. Pink rocked the hell out of that song in that fierce dress! Loved her. Leona sang Better in Time very grande like..and that note was A..MaZing! Mariah..looked gorgeous and sounded lovely. I LOVE the dress she wore..it was sexy and not sooo hoochy poochy. Alicia was great however I think the mesh with the opera and the rap was a little awkward..however they pulled it off and I was electrically shocked when Queen Latifah took that stage! My biggest surprise was Rihanna(her outfits usually have more personality on stage than her and her voice)..who apparently knew she had betta try to get a note or two in cause everyone else was hitt’n especially Natasha…she amazed me..didn’t know she had it in her. But ahhh at last..my humungous strawberry on top of the night..Beyonce..I have no words..the gurl kills every dam time..she’s the biz! Taylor put me to sleep..and poor Annie..nawwww..honey…love Neyo…ummmm..not a fan of Kanye..(now thats a man with a big ego..no pun intended) My favs..Beyonce, Leona, Christina, Mariah, Natasha, Pink and Alicia. O and the duet with Pink and Sarah was beautiful!

Loved Mariah’s performance. Vocally she ripped it and showed why she’s tops. Loved Nick kissing her hand, very sweet.
B, did a really great performance.
Christina unfortunately lipped majority of her performance and it wasn’t her best for me but it was nice to hear the medley though.
Pink killed it. I love Sober.
Liked Alicia and folks, PCD did they’re usual but it was entertaining somewhat. Ne-Yo was good.
No comment on Rihanna.
The rest I wasn’t impressed, not even Annie Lennox who I’m a fan of.

Vocally Mariah was the best by far, Beyonce and Kanye had the best performance. WHY WHY WHY did Christina open? That was a MESS!
brand1beyonce2-How can you even compare Miley Cyrus to Mariah? Are you serious, Mariah might not have that much of a stage presence anymore, but what she lacks in that she gains with her voice. Even though her performance was kind of boring, she did a great job singing the song.

I’mma big fan of Christina but I hated her opening… I found it a tad boring and felt the songs were thrown together in random order… It was a bit too much goin on for me, unfortunately.
I think Natasha should’ve sang Angel. I wasn’t feelin’ the medley/mix…
Beyonce’s performance was good even though she almost knocked one of the girls off the stage. She handled it professionally and kept goin…
Mariah was aiight…
Coldplay almost gave me a headache.
Miley’s little performance was actually kinda hott… I liked it.
I didn’t like The Fray at all…
I’m sick of the Jonas Brothers and they bored me…
Alicia Keys was ok… I liked that she brought of Queen Latifah… That was hot!

so i didn’t like Alicia’s performance. and they need to stopforcing her into dresses., she walks like a man in pumps 3 sized too small. its painful! same with Queen. she pimp walked it out! So Mariah lipped her performance and Beyonce didn’t. It’s soo odd that when it comes to Mariah you Beyonce stans always say she’s lipping and act like Beyonce sings live all the time(PLEASE don’t through in that tired excuse, “oh she dances so it’s ok”). Mariah can still blow any singer out there out of the water including your precious Beyonce. The performance was live, get over it.
I respect Beyonce and she is a great singer/performer, but she isn’t the best at everything like you stans make her out to be.

(brand1beyonce2)n to whomever else it concerns..if you were a Mariah fan..if..I am..and shall be..but umm…if you’ve seen enough of her performances..then you should know that’s all you’re going to get is straight up singing with her and if you have heard the recorded version of the song enough then you know also every little different note Mariah put into it that made it different and very much live. Geees..if she does it perfect..shes lippin it..if she does it whack..then it’s live…give me a break. Back in the day she didnt lip the perfect performances..so what makes you think she can’t sang now just because she’s been singing for years and years and has problems often..give the woman a break. So yea, she’s not a dancer and never has been..and when she does do it..it’s often not that great..shes a vocalist and yes it does make up for the performing aspect. Miley may can run around and hop around on stage like shes on acid but she can’t beat Mariah at singing. Ova and out….

I don’t get what is so diva bout Mariah Carey. She looks like she is in pain when she sings. Her performances have not been up to par since the 90s. Where is the confidence she used to have? Her face in the photo is like she is trying so hard to hit notes. She looked like that during the whole performance. It’s not even a difficult song.

Mariah gave one of her best performances and looked beautiful. I thought that it was cute that Nick helped her down the steps. Beyonce was exciting as usual. I think that Pink and Sarah should have gotten a standing ovation. I don’t understand why everyone is so crazy about Rihanna, her performances are boring to me, but she is a beautiful young lady. Christina and Leona were okay. Other than this, the rest weren’t that great. The audience was dragging–bit tii exciting.

Some of them should have lip synched. The Jonas Brothers are cute, but boring. However, my 8 year old loves them. Overall, the show was okay.

Mariah was the best vocally because she wasn’t doing SHIT. She took two steps the whole performance. She did good vocally b/c she stood in one spot and concentrated on every single fucking note. Christina and Beyonce did it for me because they PERFORMED. They sounded great vocally, they were working the stage and they had energy, which is what makes a PERFORMANCE.

miley cyrus had the performance of the night very creative indeed for her. christina did a very good job of opening the show she is still of of the best voices of our generation.
leona gave me what i needed she knew she had to go for it with them notes cause her idol was coming shortly after and mariah delivered
neyo was very hot was def one of the best of the night. rihanna always gives you face and fashion but still have a way to go where her stage presence is concerned…
beyonce was a disappoint from the outfit right back down to the tired ass performance. many said she can sing and dance at the same time will she prove thats incorrect with that performance. the outfit made her look like she had no neck and that black ramp looked so cheap it was not funny they could have done without it
overall the show was good the only real MESS of the show was new kidds on the block

I guess she wanted Nick to walk her down, cause she don’t do stairs. RiRi, Hanna Montana, Leona, Chis Ag: all yall are dismissed for further study time.
