November 18, 2008 New Music Video: Mya – Paradise
Mya has finally released a video to her single “Paradise”. After listening to the song some months ago, I thought it would have had some nice outdoor scenery. It is basically her in front a simple background and a super duper sexy man every so often, but Mya looks beautiful. They sure did have the wind blowing. Did anyone notice that the last shot was of her bagel buns? Do you love the song and video?

damn I guess times are hard for mya. This video looks like it cost about 2.99. She shot this video in the back room at the blockbuster around the corner from her house. lol.
p.s. did that other album ever come out? you know the one she was promoting last year.

ehh.. not super impressed with neither. this just confirms to me how the quality of everything has become so low. Mya is an established artist and this song and video is very basic. The video does not reflect what the song is about in the least. Not feeling this at all.

Beautiful girl…awesome body…wonderful singing voice (though you can’t tell with this song)…but that video was a no. Even the tub she swam in was dirty.

mya has been going through a lot in her career, and she is an established artist it shouldn’t be this way. its seems all the people who put in so much work back when music was actually good seems to be having the hardest time now. Mya, Brandy, Monica, Janet, its sad.

Let’s be real… Mya is a backshelf artist. If she scraps up the cash to get Trackmasters to produce her CD, it will be found in the discount bin two months after it comes out. It’s no wonder she was budgeted $1000 to shot the video and was forced to record it with her manager’s digital camera and edit it on her laptop. The song was good and deserves to be shot at some luxury spa on an island somewhere, but, clearly, she’s not banking and had to sneak in and shoot it in at Cleveland’s closed down Sea World. The outfits look like they were made in a middle school sewing class and shop class. I mean, what’s up with the welded dress? Is she saying that she is the Lordess of the Rings? I don’t get it. The guy in the video looked hotter than she did, and she looked a little pudgy in the video. She need to stop eating so much cheese unless she wants look like her older sister Minnie Mouse.

Ok.. where do I begin.. well first of all i felt like we were at a travel agency ready to book a trip on a crusie ship or something.. Mya is a great singer but this song does not help her at all… Since she has been out of the scene for awhile im sure funds are not high enough to go all out.. But now since the market is with BIG names like Britney, Beyonce, and Alicia Keys.. If you come you gotta COME ALL OUT AND BIG.. hopefully she will get to due a duet with someone big and maybe have everyone remember MYA for a great singer and give her that POP she needs..

the direction of this video is atrocious. I mean yea Mya don’t got enough money, she probably can’t even afford a whole meal at McDonalds so she buys off the dollar menu. But come on. That don’t mean your video gotta be boring. How much did it cost to shoot Single Ladies? That was just Beyonce, two dancers, black and white film and a basic backdrop and that video was dope. SHE don’t even look like she wants to be in this video.

dont like the song at all. but i love mya…but too be honest, i just knew that the video was going to be in a rain forest…and i played the video and kept waiting for something tropical..then it was over, no Paradise at all… they could have filmed it in a bed and that would have been hot… to be honest and none bias, the video is just as stupid as single ladies, and single ladies song is a bit annoying. this song isn’t annoying it just isnt good at all… when is someone going to make some real music.. when is a artiest going to put their heart into their music.
