She is so dead on stage even though she is lip syncing she still has no life. What happen to the old Mariah? Sad….

i thought the performance was a good performance. she looked nice…well not her hair, but it was cool. love her in the black trench with her hair up.

Hero was performed live and she did a really good job, closed it out nicely. She looked radiant in her gown and classy (yes, classy) in the ISIL dress. Marriage agrees with Mariah!

You need to stop B. Scott! I know you love Mariah but her voice has really changed for the worse over the years. The Hero ending was the most terrible perfomance I have ever heard from Mariah. I noticed her voice started to change during the Charmbraclet period.

Dejae… have to disagree (respectfully) with you… MC was not lip synching there… you can tell by the differences in ad libs and slight variations of notes that mariah sang in this performance vs the recorded version of “i stay in love”…
also… Mariah performs live faaaaar more than she lip synchs… (not saying she doesn’t lip synch… cause she DOES… but so does everyone else… )..
that being said…i thought Mariah did really well… she dressed well (finally) and sounded on point… hope she has more performances like this (and REALLY promotes “i stay in love”…

dejae is right, she is not singing the whole song, bits and pieces even go back and listen to very first note and then compare that to rest of the performance.

But I will say I don’t think Mariah is lipping directly from the studio version. But I do believe they are pre-recorded vocals.. And mimi isn’t the only one who does it. It just sucks because she is still so young and it’s just like..well for me atleast that she can’t do it anymore “live” vocally.

Mariah is not so young and she’s been singing for such a long time. I’m not surprised that her voice doesn’t sound as well as in the past! Her voice is very vulnerable, but she still can sing live.

who the hell cares! it’s mariah carey she can sing everyone under a rug even on a bad day. this performance was a good. everyone, EVERYONE sings over a track so mostly all performances you see are partially live regardless.
it has nothing to do with her not having it anymore, i just think they want the performance to sound as close to the studio version without it being that.

ALOT OF PEOPLE PRE RECORD TRACKS, YOU MIGHT HEAR IT ALOT ON MAJOR AWARD SHOWS, BUT THEY ARE USEALLY UPBEAT SONGS, MARIAH NEVER PERFORMS REALLY UPBEAT SONGS.. LOL OMG…is she lipping is she singing, what part is she lipping, what part is she singing? Wow! Well, in my opinion she’s singing and she sounded great. From listening, she really didnt have that much prerecording going on besides the music, her amazing back up singers handled the backing vocals. So..chills, maybe not, but I was impressed, because compared to some other performances recently, I have to say this was really good. I’m not sure why she looks so fragile these days on stage though..hmm. Anyway..loved it!

i think she was singing live because the end when she started belting was off and i doubt it would have been if she was lipping. She was ok on Hero, but it was average something any of the contestants could have done beter.

MC looked fabulous for both performances. Hero was nice, but I did not like the arrangement. ISIL was pretty nice. MC needs to not read anything yall itches say about her cause she don’t know how to act on stage. No, she was a bit tentative, but gotta love her and she looks fabuloous and content in her love life though. Hope she is saving it all up for da tour dat she is talking ’bout. Why are people so ready to jump on a woman with a younger man (IE: Cougars) Older men have been with younger women forever and no one says thing. JZ & Beyonce have the same age difference as Mariah and Nick, and no one raises an eyebrow,
