Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning, and Jennifer Hudson attended their Beverly Hills premiere of The Secret Life Of Bees Monday night held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Alicia Keys was missing in action, but my girl Eva Marcelle attended the premiere. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith attended to support Queen Latifah and the film. I hope this movie does well for them – I still haven’t read the novel, but I have heard great reviews. I will be heading to the theater to watch this movie. Thoughts? Kerry Washington and Eva Mendes attended Elle magazine’s 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute held at The Four Seasons Monday night in Los Angeles. Both ladies looked fabulous in their ensembles. During Eva’s recent interview with People.com, she mentioned that even though she loves the United States, the country was “too quick to censor nudity. We seem okay with violence, but nudity we race to criticize and censor. I’m not at all ashamed or frightened about showing my body.” There are plenty of people that love Eva’s body and are not ashamed of being naked and free. The sexiness of Leonardo mixed with toughness of Russell Crowe makes for an excellent film. Aubrey O’Day of Danity Kane also attended the premiere. Love muffins, Paris Bennett (American Idol season five contestant) gave birth to a new baby girl name Egypt in Minneapolis Monday afternoon.

Paris says, “I’m so excited to finally see my little angel and man does she have lungs on her I guess she’s gearing up to be the next American Idol.” A rep for the singer tells Usmagazine.com, “The proud first time mother is doing well and recovering. Paris’ mother Jamecia Bennett and her family is filled with excitement and welcomes their bundle of joy.”

This is some exciting news. Congratulations! I know she will be a great mother, because she has a pleasant and warm spirit. Be on the lookout for her Christmas CD, A Royal Christmas, to be released next week on October 14. Thoughts?
