October 28, 2008 New Music Video: Mimi – I Stay In Love
Access Granted premiered Mariah Carey’s splendiferous new music video for “I Stay In Love” hours ago. As expected, I really love this black and white video that was filmed by her husband Nick Cannon. Mimi looks absolutely divine especially in the feather showgirl ensemble and I must say Nick did a great job. Note: The clip of Mariah pulling down the back of Nick’s tank to show his tattoo of her name at the end of Access Granted was just too cute! Thoughts?

The video is so good. Nick did fantastic,MC looks smoking. The tattoo flash at the end was priceless.

I must say this is the most tasteful video I’ve seen from Mariah all album. Nick did a superb job with making sure the video actually made sense with the song, and staying true to Mariah all in the same. I love it, its definately my favorite video from this album so far. Now if she’d only release THANX 4 NOTHIN I’d love her forever

Why is she a showgirl? I dont get it, the car blowing up was random.
I was honestly expectng more because im a big Mimi fan but i wasnt feeling her performance in the video. She only showed emotion towards the end

FINALLY!!!! I thought this was gonna be her second single but I’m just glad it’s finally out. And yes I hope it goes to number 1. I love Mariah’s black and white videos but I wish this one was in color. I mean, if you’re in Vegas you need color to it. Nonetheless, I love it.

well being a relistic person i dont feel the video matched the song at all
1st. when u listen to the song u feel the sense of longing and loss for someone you loved so deeply and lost them for what ever reaseon
2nd. the show girl sences looked like a throwback from ariahs breakdown video and had no place
3rd. the walking down the desert and blowing up the car was random and out of place
if i were directing the videeo i would have concntrated on the visuals matching with the song and the words
i would have had mariah walking through the mansion in some beautiful piece if nightware looking sad and longing to be with the man that she is still in love with
and as she walked through her mansion she wouls see thing that would remind her of her lost love like a pair of his sneaker that fade away ghostly
or when she walks into her kitchen she has a flashback of him sitting there with the paper and coffee smiling at her as she is entering the kitchen in a loving hello,and then he fade and then end the video in the bedroom they spent there intimate times together as the songs come to and end with flas backs of them making love and pillow figing and playing like lovers do who are in love and deep in love and as it closes she looking out her bedroom windows with tears in her eyes as she sing the painful I stay in love…………………………
the video would go with the song and it would capture the heartbreak and sense of loss mariah is belting in the song
and give it that mariah diva treatment that we are used to seeing

Shisa, there was noting ignorant about my comments. We all know good and well Mimi needs to stop. This video is a redux of Bringing on the Heartbreak and Breakdown. Its tired. I love Mariah but the truth is the truth and you KNOW IT!

Lets face it Touch My Body went to #1 in the USA because one of her unofficial fan clubs offered prizes to whoever downloaded and requested most. On contrary, it failed miserably worldwide.
Bland, insipid, pre-recorded live performances and so 90s Mariah Carey always be a footnote below Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin!
