Holy shit Beyonce!!!
She really does look like a herion addict. I’m glad she took this role as Etta James so seriously. She just might have her “Lady Sings the Blues” moment a la Diana Ross in the mid 1970s. After seeing those pictures I am convinced she’ll do it justice. I’m proud of her already and can’t wait for her album to drop 11/18!!

oh min ‘talkin shit’ that was my same damn reaction…”Holy shit Beyonce!” ahaha…WoW..I am with you B scott..after seeing these two pictures I am rooting for Beyonce too in this film. I really really hope she pulls it off. I will definately be watching this movie right after my final exams on December 17th!! Yayy!

I love beyonce But she looks terrible! I know she is playing the role of a drug addict but I am so used to see her all glammed up with a head full of hair. I don’t know, it’s just kind of shocking. Can’t wait to see the movie though.Her acting improves with every movie she does.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT SHE IS THE STAR IN THIS MOVIE NO H8R BUT SHE CANNOT ACT…… I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE B/C IT HAS AN UNBELIEVABLE CAST…. Beyonce chooses her acting projects strategically. I wouldn’t immediately think of her for the role of Etta James, but it looks like she does the role justice.

Has beyonce seen how big etta was back then? Clearly not because etta was a lot bigger than bey in these pics. Clearly Bey wasnt willing to commit fully and look more like etta. I bet the acting is bad, like in all those other movies.
Why cant this woman just be happy being a singer and performer, why does she think she has to do everything? I honestly think in a few years she’ll be like Jennifer Lopez, who we no longer care about but used to be a hot commodity in show business.

I’ve know many actress that have gain as much as 40-50 lbs to play and dedicate themselves to a role and came out on top.
Bey might just do good on this one and get her recognized, but I’m yet to see it…

@ what.she.said if she is choosing her roles “strategically”..wouldnt she want to do a movie that what have no affiliation to something she is already known for…I mean unless her strategy is to only be known as an actress for one type of role…but damn every movie you have been in you are the same type of role???…I think its only limiting herself, maybe she’s only comfortable doing those type of roles…I dunno I just really would like to give her a chance as an “actress” but its hard when she has no diversity..

Time will tell…we will all be there watching Bey do the damn thing. Some of wish we had her opportunities regardless whether she can act she is working her ass off. I cheering the sista on because there are not that many roles for the sista. Hopefully she will become a trailblazer who paves some paths for others.
