October 15, 2008 Madonna & Guy Announced Divorce!

Take me higher lord! I guess that everything that we heard is true – Madonna and Guy Ritchie announced their divorce earlier this morning.

“Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time,” read the short statement e-mailed to the Associated Press by Liz Rosenberg. “The judgment of the court would be to try and assess what they came in with and divide what they built up fairly equally,” said David Allison, a lawyer with Family Law in Partnership, a London firm People

Jesus, take the wheel! These two are getting a divorce. Thoughts?

  • another one bites the dust…..so maybe the a-rod rumors are true? hmmmmm…

  • Awww, they look so good together though, but whatever makes them happy :)

  • Whilst no one knows what went on in their relationship, I just think that Madonnas perception of reality has been skewed for some time now. I don’t know if she can have a healthy relationship. Social norms haven’t applied to celebrities since the dawn of hollywood. Social norms are what govern many relationships. Until celebrities try and retrieve some sense of normalcy in their lives, I don’t think that any union will last.

  • Lawd have Mercy, forget about taking the wheel Lord take the who vehicle. Don’t people RESPECT the value of marriage in that industry.

**For the Love of all things, it’s a good thing I have my own Marriage to Look forward to and the divorce rate in my family is less than 1% over the past 135 years, isn’t that wonderful “Love Muffins”

  • I’M SO SAD!!!!!!!!

  • i’m sad for them they’ve been triyng so hard to keep the family together

  • Not surprised, Madonna is too focused on her career to be a wife. Plus she comes across as being stuck up her own ass. Guy seems like he’s stuck in her shadow, and eventually the shadow wants to be set free.

  • doesnt surprise me….she never seemed like the married woman type anyways
