October 1, 2008 New Movie Review: Eagle Eye, Burn After Reading, Lakeview Terrace
Update: May include spoilers!
I decided to buckle down and catch a view movies at the theater to see what all the hype was on Eagle Eye, Burn After Reading, and Lakeview Terrace. I will let you know my favorite movie out of the bunch and the movie(s) you should wait to watch when it hits DVD after the jump –
On Tuesday, I decided to check out Shia LeBeouf’s new #1 movie Eagle Eye after hearing how great the movie was. Shia has been knocking out blockbuster hits ever since Disturbia and this movie was know different. Yes, Shia didn’t stray far away from Transformers since this movie revolves around technology or machines trying to control the world without actual robots. You may say that this movie genre has been done so many times, but the action was stellar and so was the acting co-starring Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, and Billy Bob Thornton. This movie is worth spending a buck or two at the theater.
Burn After Reading had me laughing at times, but overall I was one step away from nodding off to sleep. Even though, Brad Pitt and George Clooney only have one scene together, this scene changes the tone of the movie which takes you on a more enjoyable ride. To summarize the movie, an ousted CIA official’s memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees intent on exploiting their find. However, I would recommend that you watch this movie on DVD, because you might want to fast forward some of the boring parts.
Honestly, I expected for Lakeview Terrace to play out like it did ultimately ending the same way I imagined it would end. I hate watching movies when I can expect how the movie will play out in my head before I am in my seat good. You can only stand so much bickering and ruthlessness from Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Wilson’s characters. I would wait to watch the movie until it hits television.

All good movies..a must see right along with The Family That Preys in which I was shocked to see Robin Givens in the role of positive female empowerment. Ladies, that movie is a definite must see.

Lakeview Terrace was already a no brainer! Even though, I feel Eagle Eye was just to safe like all of his other movies, it seem like the rest to me, maybe a new romantic movie for him would be good, but shia is a great actor! And sext too lol

Shia LaBeouf has turned himself into a sure bet for a movie to make millions and millions no matter what… even though his name is hard to remember (and spell)
