Love muffins, I have been waiting a long time to see the trailer to Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes To Jail. The movie is due out next spring. The play was super duper funny, so I know the movie will be great indeed. Thoughts?

oh my goodness!I still play this on DVD, especially the part where that girl sangs ” yes Jesus loves me” …gets me EVERY time.

i am not excited. this will be some mess! i’m sooo ready for blacks to start producing quality films…we’ve been shucking and jiving and making an ass of ourselves for too long. he should take a page outta spike’s book and step it up a notch! WORD~!

While I respect everyone’s opinion, Tyler Perry’s success has made the movie industry take notice of a demographic that was largely overlooked in the past. The good church folk I know can’t get enough.

it’s weird. at first i didn’t like tyler’s plays (i normally don’t like plays like these anyway) but i saw “madea goes to jail” and was DYING!!! the way he says “hello” like “hell-ERR”. lmao!! that shit was so funny. i’m sure the movie will be just as good

I agree with what.she.said. He’s focusing on us and what we go through, but not showing us in a stereotypical light like white films tend to do. And he does it well! Nothing to hate on about that. I’ve seen ass his movies except Daddy’s Little Girls and Family That Preys (which I’ll be going to see very soon) and he’s never disappointed me.
