Love muffins, Clay Aiken finally admits to the world that he is gay while showing off his new baby boy.
“It was the first decision I made as a father,” Aiken, 29, tells the upcoming issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday. “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that…Whether it be having a child out of wedlock, or whether it be simply being a homosexual, it’s going to be a lot…I have no idea if he’ll be gay or straight. It’s not something I’ll have anything to do with, or that he’ll have anything to do with. It’s already probably up inside the code there … No matter what the situation you’re in, if you’re raised in a loving environment, that’s the most important thing.” People
I am not shocked. Honestly, we all had a feeling he was gay during his American Idol days. Thoughts?

the mother is almost 50 years old. she’ll be in her mid 60’s when this child is in high school. that’s old! i can just see the kid in school at open house explaining to all his teachers and friends “she’s not my grandmother! she’s my mom!” LOL

I think it great he finally came out and put the rumors and gossip to rest… yes some of you are asking why would this be front cover news what i think not just him being gay and coming out I also think because of the BABY no one had seen pics up close yet so the two got him that spot… He has great talent as a singer I have not seen his broadway show but Im glad he was strong enough to COME OUT… Great job CLAY…

I get pissed off when people say “we already knew he was gay, who cares?” If had he never said anything, people would continue to talk about him and ridicule him for NOT coming out. So now that he DOES, people give his flack anyway. Make up your mind, people!
Besides, maybe he didn’t come out for us. People coming out is just as much for THEM as it is for the people they come out to.
