Christina Milian confirmed that she will indeed be releasing her brand new single “Us Against The World” which will premiere on October 6th. The single choice is a ballad – I hope that it will do well for her. Since being signed to Myspace Records, she mentioned that she will have more control over the new direction of her upcoming album.
“I’ve been out of the game for one-and-a-half years, and I think I’m long overdue for a comeback, so I’m treating this album like it’s my last chance to make an impression. I’m competing with myself and being very detailed,” the 26-year-old Cuban-American tells Billboard. “Before, I had a label telling me what direction to go in. Now, it’s my choice, so I’m being very particular about it and I’m really excited.” Billboard

myspace isnt some big name label so of course she’s gonna do what she wants

Yes: Yeah it’s never a problem. It should be a right to sell your music the way you want, not hold up this ‘formula’ of success that barely works due to consumer’s constant changes in what they like. So to this new trend of not listening to labels, it’s about time.
