Jesus take the wheel! I was reading People.com and I was totally blindsided by their exclusive information that Jennifer Hudson and her boyfriend, David “Punk” Otunga, have gotten engaged!
“I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in L.A.” says the rep. Otunga, who is known as “Punk” from the reality show I Love New York 2, popped the question with a Neil Lane diamond ring on the Dreamgirls Oscar winner’s 27th birthday. The couple, who have been dating less than a year, both hail from Chicago.
Well I wish them the best of luck and things of that nature! Thoughts?

Yes he does look like Mr. Terry McMillan. Im so salty though. I gave Jenn More credit. They havent been dating that long. She had years with her ex and now she’s ready to be married. It’s one or two things: she’s hurt that james dumped her or she is using this to promote her album. i don’t see her taking any woman’s sloppy seconds and she is aware of David’s history with NY. Maybe she likes it that they take cute pictures together, but i don’t see a wedding… not this year, next year or the year after. Do wait for the announcement in about 90 days that they called this crap off….. watch what i say! Just as soon as the album reaches platinum… here comes the announcement. This is a hot mess. First, he’s gayer than Freddie Mercury, and, second, even if we were to play along and pretend that he were straight, he’s “New York’s” sloppy seconds, which is beyond nasty. And, yes, I know he went to Harvard Law School, and I don’t care — he didn’t spend enough time at a legit law firm to establish himself before quitting to go on MTV, and he’s not working for a firm now, so his new career is clearly D-List Celebrity Living Off Any Woman Stupid Enough To Let Him. I hate that Jennifer Hudson apparently doesn’t think that she can do any better than this.

Jennifer Hudson is a very smart lady. stop hating on her choice in a man. she knows what she want and need. I bet alot of folks making comments does not have your own life in order. David is a very good choice for Jennifer. He is a very smart man also. The two of them makes a wonderful couple. I hope that the marriage last a life time with many kids between the two. David keeps Jennifer smiling, and he also keeps her very happy. The puppy love Jennifer and James had all those years did go with success. They both grew tired of the distance and they both decided to let it go. Please stop trying to blame Jennifer. They both can to a decision to move on. People please stop making comments on issues where you do not know the facts. Jennifer and James came togather and end their relationship peaceful. James did not want the long distance relationship. He was very comfortable with the life they had. Jennifer was not going to give up her dreams to be in a relationship that was not going anywhere. Now, down to the issue Jennifer and James broke it off in 2007. This is now 2009 she has moved on with her life so let her live it. Jennifer and David are very much in love. To have the success she has been granted. Jennifer needs a man like David. He keeps her smiling and happy. She was just quoted as saying she has never been more happier in her life. The couple has been dating since Dec 2007. How long do you have to date a person to get to know them. I would hope not seven are eight years dam!!
