After the VMA’s Sunday, Lil Wayne didn’t have time to attend any after parties because he had to appear in court the next day. During his court appearance, the police officer testified that she saw Lil Wayne with a gun on his tour bus last year after a concert. She also mentioned that she smelled marijuana after the tour bus door open. However, Lil Wayne’s lawyer appealed a New York judge.
Lil Wayne’s lawyer has appealed to a New York judge to dismiss an illegal weapons charge against the rapper after accusing police of conducting a prohibited search of his tour bus during the 2007 incident. sad that the only time a negro all of a sudden have priorities when his life is dire of spending some time in jail on something frivolous…but then again, my former husband can attest to that.

i agree he needs rehab. it was rumored that a couple of weeks ago he checked himself into rehab here (south fla.) but if he did i guess his stay was only like a week…. obviously. it’s sad. i agree with ms. toson. it shouldn’t take something like this for someone to get their priorities straight but you know, different strokes for different folks. some people learn after one f’up and others it takes like 20 f’ups to learn. i hope he gets it together. i’ma “lil wayne fan” for life!!!

He needs rehab. FASHION rehab, music rehab. If you rappin and cappin all hard and somebody can get to your booty just by yanking a little, somethings wrong.
When did being in jail become the thing for rappers?Its in alot of music videos…maybe this is “art imitating life” but is this the message we want kids to see & follow? I’m just saying.

i agree, there was no reason why he should’ve had a gun… im sure the dude rolls around with bodyguards constantly.
& the dude should just do naomi cambell style and get community service for the weed charge. it’s not like the driver was smokin…… weezys on that bus for long periods of time… shit my ass would be smokin 2.
