September 9, 2008 New Music Video: David Archuleta – Crush
For all of you David Archuleta fans, the 7th season runner up for American Idol he has finally premiered his brand new debut music video “Crush”. The single debuted several weeks ago on the Billboard charts as it made a quick jump up the charts. The video should hold you over until the album is released. Thoughts?

I’ve never had a celebrity crush in MY LIFE. lol. David is madd cute. When he smiles…. it just makes you wanna melt.
This song is addictive… ive caught myself humming it in random places, and instinctively turning the volume up when it comes on the radio. His voice is amazing. It’s like he’s in his own league. I mean you have Jesse McCartney…but his vocals dont even compare to davids.
And I think mission accomplished for the video. It was a GREAT first video… beautiful setting….

David is cute and can sing very well but he has such little stage resnece and for that matter screen presence. The video doesnt want to make me watch him. Theres so little intensity in his eyes and it always feels like he is holding back emotions that he should be putting in the song. Same thing was when he performed in American idol.

I loved it! David has exceeded my expectations on everything else, he did so on this video. I don’t claim that CRUSH is the best song ever, that this is the best vidEO ever. I realize I’m a fan of someone who is young and growing -that’s part of the experience for me. We fans get to watch david grow and be a part of the journey with him (as he so humbly said himself)

I enjoy it for what it is – a sweet video for a sweet song. I won’t try and analyze it to death about what demographic will like it. It reminds me a bit of AI because there was so much pressure on him once he was declared the frontrunner – it’s like people wanted perfection (or their definiton). Can’t the kid just have fun, be cute/hot/adorable, sing a sweet song? Good job David.

I don’t like the part where it looks like he’s a dog humping the railing. Other than that. I thought it was a great video and he is cute. Such a fantastic singer. Love the song.
