B’s a decent singer, but she ain’t got the sass nor the voice to carry this classic. The only person in the world who probably does (and this really pains me to say it) is Christina Aguilera.

uh that was a big noooooooooooooooooo. let it be said people that beyonce cannot sing everything (well, let me be more specific) she can sing anything she damn well pleases but that doesn’t mean that she sounds good all the time. the only person to ever funk this song other than the great etta james herself was Christina Aguilera. Beyonce needs to go sit down with that stupid wig. I mean what is that really?

Where is Christina A. when you need her. Instead of Beyonce trying to do a rendition of Etta James, she should have gone with Christina’s rendition of ‘At Last’. And this is coming from a Beyonce fan. I think the critics are right, they should’ve chose someone else to play Etta James, because if this is what’s in store, Etta is NOT getting her just due.
