Update: I just had to change the previously posted video to the one below, which features Mariah Carey completely shutting down Fashion Rocks Friday night with her signature beyond stellar vocals especially at the beginning of the performance! Take me higher lord! Those live intro vocals have got to be some of the most beautiful vocals I have ever heard in my entire life! MC just said Hi Haters! You still got it Mimi, love ya!

LOL mariah never puts any type of effort in her stage show! that was so boring looking. who would pay money to see a mariah show. i love the song tho, its my favorite from that record.

Well Nate, I felt her Emancipation of Mimi tour was awesome….and I didn’t mind paying a couple hundred bucks for a ticket. her voice sounded amazing…. it’s hard to believe that it was not even 2 years ago.
But I agree, this performance was lame. I was there…. and it was obvious that she lip synched.
I was so excited because I wouldve thought that since she got married and took her lil break from promoting the album…not doing any performances…. taking a few fabulous vacations to Capri and the Bahamas and such…. that she’d be revitalized and everything and ready to come back and rip up the stage.

i love the inro. never have been a fan of that particular song though. i would rather migrate have been a single and i can’t really stand that song, but it’s better and she moves more. lol

umm i was there and she didn’t lip. she sung over the backing track which isn’t lipping because she actually sang over the song. but good performance..

rSon, when a backing track is louder than the actual artist, we file that under LIPPING. Leave it to Mariah to make a fun upbeat song so damn boring. I don’t want OOC to be a single if she’s going to ruin it. Poor Mimi. HANG IT UP. And take Modonna with you…..

actually lipping is not singing live. (look it up before you challenge something). since mariah was actually singing partially live over the original track it isn’t technically lipping. give her props where props are due. im not saying it was 100% sung live, there were moments where she didnt sing over the backing track. in reality everyone does that to make there voice sound stronger in performances so it is what it is.
btw the song is i’m that chick not ooc.

I said it was obvious she lip synched, I never said it was obvious she lip synched the entire time. If her vocals were as on point as her intro made it seem… I don’t understand why she felt she had to lip synch at all. it’s not like she was dancing or anything.
But I agree rS… Credit where credit is due…. soooooo It did sound good…
but to me, it didn’t live up to Mariah’s standards.

Mariah was really good, she’s never really that active on satge so i didnt expect her to be doing the same move as the dancers….thats why she has dancers, dahh to dance for her!
Her voice does the rest and for all those sad people who come on here to leave negative feedback on Mariah, you guys are doing a good job, you give her energy to keep doing well.
lol at the end of video when the man goes ‘You rock Mariah you rock, just like sex, look how good she is!’

Lip syching can be called on a number of accounts. Not just when the artist isn’t singing at all. So I could take a Mariah song and slightly singing and become huge? See where I’m going? I wish I could give her credit but toward this preformance, she gets none from me. Not only based on the syching. Everything just isn’t right for me. And I know it isn’t OOC. I was just stating that I don’t want my favorite song to be a single if she’s going to bore it up like this.
Also, I am a Mariah fan. No one get it twisted. I’m just not delusional and will call any artist out on flaws I see.

2nd Jorgie and raise u a . Rhianna isn’t the strongest dancer but she at least tries to like bop a lil or have a movee here or there. Mariah on stage is WHACK and i’m sooo over here whispering/rappasanging. seriously ever since that song with bone thugs and harmony she stopped using her whole voice. its annoying as all be damned.
