August 23, 2008 Solange & Michelle Performing Live

My girls Solange Knowles and Michelle Williams performed at the J & R MusicFest Concert Series in New York on Thursday. Solange performed “I Decided” while Michelle performed “Stop This Car” and “We Break The Dawn”. I am extremely disappointed at how dead the crowd was. There was no energy what so ever. But I am glad that ladies still did their thing. View Michelle’s performance after the jump – CONTINUE READING

New Album: Lykke Li – Youth Novels

This past Tuesday, Swedish music sensation Lykke Li finally released her debut album “Youth Novels” after complaining to her mentor, Bjorn “of Peter and John fame” Yttling, that everything had gone wrong because she was twenty and still hadn’t released an album. Now twenty-two, she finally has succeed by releasing her album on Atlantic Records. Lykke Li has a soft soothing voice that I can sit back and relax to while I a sip on a shut yo mouth potion. For more on this artist, please visit her official website. Check out two of her videos for “Little Bit” and “I’m Good, I’m Gone” after the jump –

Barack Obama Chooses Running Mate!

Love muffins, Barack Obama has finally chosen his running mate – Delaware Sen. Joe Biden.

Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, brings years of experience that could help counter GOP arguments that an Obama administration would be inexperienced on foreign policy. Biden abandoned his own White House run after a poor showing in Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses. He also ran for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination but dropped out after charges of plagiarism in a stump speech. CNN

In my opinion Sen. Hillary Clinton would have been the best choice to be Sen. Barack Obama’s vice president especially being that 18 million people voted for her, all of which he needs to win in November.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC poll published on Wednesday found that only 52 percent of people who voted for Clinton in the marathon Democratic primary duel had so far decided to vote for Obama in November. Twenty-one percent said they would vote for McCain, while 27 percent had not yet decided. One in three of the group said they found Obama “arrogant and cocky.”

John McCain hasn’t chosen anyone yet, but only time will tell since it is getting pretty close to election time. It’s going to be interesting to see how all this plays out. Thoughts?

Ray J Now Has A Dating Show?!

Say it ain’t so! Not Brandy’s little brother! But it is true. Ray J has signed on with VH1 for his own dating show. I guess he figures if Flava Flav and New York can bring in the viewers while getting paid, then he can too. The untitled show will air in 2009. Right now the search is on for women over the age of 21. If my love muffins audition for this, you better watch out. He might be video taping you if ya’ll decided to get it on (I can just hear Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” playing in the background). What does Whitney Houston think about all of this?
