August 24, 2008 New Music: Keri Hilson – Mic Check
A new track “Mic Check” from Keri Hilson’s debut album In A Perfect World… featuring Akon produced my Timberland has recently leaked. I am really loving this song, but I think the track would have been much better without Akon. But I am excited about Keri’s project, because her debut single “Energy” is just beautiful! The album will be released on the 23rd of September, but if you can’t wait until the 23rd then check her out on two of Timberland’s hit singles “The Way I Are” and “Scream” and Nas’ current single “Hero”. Thoughts?

Why are we only hearing mid tempo ballads?
This is annoying. I was thinking she was gonna be bringing the banga’s for the club but these two songs are lack luster. Energy is cool but, I’m waiting for that up beat anthem.

i could not agree with you more… i love this cut but can’t stand akon on it! i made myself an edit of this song and cut akon’s arse off, it sounds soooo much better!!
