August 23, 2008 Solange & Michelle Performing Live

My girls Solange Knowles and Michelle Williams performed at the J & R MusicFest Concert Series in New York on Thursday. Solange performed “I Decided” while Michelle performed “Stop This Car” and “We Break The Dawn”. I am extremely disappointed at how dead the crowd was. There was no energy what so ever. But I am glad that ladies still did their thing. View Michelle’s performance after the jump –

  • Michelle was SANGIN, especially at the end of Break The Dawn

  • I just love this girl! She killed it even though the crowd were as lively as a clumb of brittle hair! Can’t believe it was New York and the people were so unappreciative of something “fresh”.

  • I am loving Michelle lately!!! She is doing it. I am feeling Solange too. They are both doing their own thing. They do not seem to be caught in the headlights of Beyonce (who I love). I have always felt that Kelly has always been caught in those headlights and afraid to shine; however; these two ladies are definitely fearless and doing their thang!!!

  • its great to see that the crowd was more live with michelle then solange haha. Michelle is deff. a better performer then solange or kelly.

  • The crowd isn’t her target audience. It was a bad song choice to sing in a hip hop “young crowd”. That type of song has no hype what so ever. its mellow and relaxing. I can see it sung at a jazz concert. But not a main stream crowd, because its not a main stream song. So don’t diss the audience she should learn because they are the truth….

  • Love Michelle…Solo, um, no.

  • I think *gasps* that Solo is growing on me… *faints*

  • It almost looks like Solange is doing the paw paw in her own way in the beginning but I know she wasn’t lol. Man Solange is the SONGSTRESS! I like Michelle too.
