August 23, 2008 Barack Obama Chooses Running Mate!
Love muffins, Barack Obama has finally chosen his running mate – Delaware Sen. Joe Biden.
Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, brings years of experience that could help counter GOP arguments that an Obama administration would be inexperienced on foreign policy. Biden abandoned his own White House run after a poor showing in Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses. He also ran for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination but dropped out after charges of plagiarism in a stump speech. CNN
In my opinion Sen. Hillary Clinton would have been the best choice to be Sen. Barack Obama’s vice president especially being that 18 million people voted for her, all of which he needs to win in November.
A Wall Street Journal/NBC poll published on Wednesday found that only 52 percent of people who voted for Clinton in the marathon Democratic primary duel had so far decided to vote for Obama in November. Twenty-one percent said they would vote for McCain, while 27 percent had not yet decided. One in three of the group said they found Obama “arrogant and cocky.”
John McCain hasn’t chosen anyone yet, but only time will tell since it is getting pretty close to election time. It’s going to be interesting to see how all this plays out. Thoughts?

I denounce gossip site and flamboyant, lip-gloss wearing cross dresser who fail to stick to what they are good at which is spreading gossip and NOT speaking politics. I support the choice he made which is someone who is experienced and knowledge on foreign policy to their own credit and not that of his spouse’s presidency. Like Barack , Sen. Biden is a self made senator who did not ride someone else’s coat tail. Let’s also not forget the nasty witch who showed face when she started losing by throwing republican tactics at Sen. Obama. I think Senator Obama needs to be comfortable with his choice without having to always shield his back from a knife

I normally don’t respond to stupidity but Ava I denounce you from this website. You represent exactly what’s wrong with this world – “flamboyant, lip-gloss wearing cross dresser” really displayed your lack of intelligence rendering you mute. How about this, go educate yourself on how to be respectful of others that are different from you and learn how to express your opinions without degrading others. Please seek help for your mental issues and have the courage to show who you are if you want to continue with your negativity on my website.

^Ava, Is it that serious? If it is, then why are you here? As my grandma would say “N!ggativity”.
I’m not feeling Biden. I’ll have to suck it up and vote for Obama. I miss Hillary…lol. I do. Hillary and Sheila Jackson-Lee(D – TX). were the best choice in my opinion. I guess somethings never change.

I personally believe that Joe Biden is an excellent choice. He brings to the ticket more experience than any other democrat that was running for the presidency. I am very glad that he didn’t pick Hillary. True that 18 million voted for her but so did the millions of us that voted for Obama. And no matter what Obama does it will never satisfy the Hillary supporters. So I say that democrats can either unite because this election is too important. Or we can continue to act like sore losers and vote for Mccain out of spite and continue this disastrous road we are on because of the republicans. What is Mccain going to do about women’s issues, gay issues, the middle class, the lower class? What is his record on these issues? I hope people use their brains on this one, the stakes are too high.

Ava, if you are truly an obama supporter than stop acting like a little child on here and grow up already! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but respect is what all of us deserve. If you don’t like gossip sites, then why the hell are on here! If you want to raise hell, there are plenty of Mccain sites you can unleash your wrath on.

Wow! this conversation is a bit heavy! Just remember B, in the words of Jill Scott “Hate on me hater, now or later cause im gonna do me, you’ll be mad baby!”. Either way B, continue to do you, this Ava person is obviously mad about something, maybe she has a dick up her ass, who knows. The most important thing is that we as commentators keep the comments clean and respectful! Love you B!
Double Kisses!

Joe Biden is a great choice for Obama because he covers the so called “weaknesses” that Obama has concerning experience. 2 of the most important issues to me are the economy and foreign policy: Obama can cover the economy issues while Biden covers the foreign policy issues (which he is an expert at). Biden can throw the “tough punches” that people say Obama doesn’t. Biden has more experience than Hillary as a Senator so he has more knowledge about these issues as well as many others issues than her. It’s now time to come together as a Democratic party rather than stressing on what could have been. As voters we’re supposed to vote based on the issues and how these candidates address them, not based on popularity or out of spite (especially during these hard times we are experiencing now). OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!!!!

I believe Senator Obama made a very wise choice in Senator Biden. If the shoe was reversed and Senator Clinton had to choose a running mate, she would have chosen someone who would balance her ticket. She would not have merely chosen Senator Obama because of his massive amounts of votes and domestic and international appeal. This wasn’t a popularity contest. It was about making the best choice as the future commander in chief. He chose wisely in my humble opinion. I still love you B… Keep doing you!!!

I agree with Lady of Rage about the “e-baller poster” People please be respectful of others’ opinions. After all is said and done, we can agree to disagree.
As far as an opinion on Biden, I just don’t know. I am having a hard time throwing 100% support to either of the presidential candidates.

B. Please don’t respond to ignorance. Its not worth it.
Back to the point though, I think that while Hillary would have also been a great choice, some of her supporters would still not vote for Barack. Why? Because they want Hillary to be the president and they don’t want to settle for less. They would rather Barack lose (which is stupid as hell in itself) for Hillary to run again in 2012. Aside from one of the major issues that people seem so unwilling to address. HE’S BLACK! Some people will never be okay with that. They’ll make up other excuses in order to avoid seeming racist but that is the truth. And for those people I say…YOU WILL NOT STOP THIS MOVEMENT. WE ARE GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!!!
