Roseanne recently posted some less than pleasant remarks on her blog. Rosanne called Angelina Jolie, Voight’s “evil spawn,” (Jon Voight is Angelina’s father) and Pitt, “vacuous,”!
Miss Jolie says she likes McCain too and hasn’t decided who to endorse… huh? Aren’t you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the Republican party’s worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades since Reagan? Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the earth even more.
Love muffins how do you feel about Rosanne’s remarks? Are they justified or un-called for?

it may not be an entire school being built in africa by oprah with her money..but since it seems as if its not enough. i think 3 million is showmore than just pretending to give a crap about the starving children. they could just not even donate any money at all. i say its the thought that counts. they are making it an effort. they are showing some form of support. yet….people will tend to focus on the negative, since that gets more media attention…*sigh* if only we could be more positive towards one another.

…i think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Especially when it comes to politics, everyone votes for someone and has their own reasonings, who are we to judge? Rosanne has no right to say what she said. Like people on here have brought up, when was the last time you heard about Rosanne donating even half of what the Jolie-Pitts have donated? Or the last time you heard about her going on a trip to raise awareness? or becoming Ambassador of a good cause? Never.
…So before you comes out of her mouth, she needs to check herself. Angie said she likes both candidates…she never said she disliked one or the other, so let her be! She didnt say, MY VOTE IS FOR THE REPUBLICANS! …so why knock her?

I think Roseanne’s got a very valid point, but she brought it across FAR too harshly. She needs to tone it down a bit. And for the one’s saying “What has Roseanne done for charity?” I’m not sure about it. What I am sure of is we only here about Brangelina’s “charitable” works because they’re publicity whores and do it for the attention. There are PLENTY of celebs who do WAY MORE for charity, but don’t invite reporters/journalists to film/write it. They do what they do because they want to show themselves in a positive light. I applaud what they’ve done, but they’re doing it for the wrong reasons so in my eyes, the might as well not do it at all. They make it about them and not the cause.

i dont think they are publicity whores, in fact they try to live a private life, but with photographers follow their every move, they use things like magazines offering them millions and stuff like that, and put it towards a good cause. You NEVER see pictures of Angelina attending her Ambassador meetings, or anything like that…so i dont think that’s it at all.
They are a couple that the media is interested in…and they use it to raise awareness about topics…No publicity stunts or anything. Before they were together Angelina was doing alot, and you never heard about anything until she adopted Maddox, and then she became this big media frenzy.

If Roseanne’s statement is true, then I’m glad that she is making the world aware of the fact that there is a problem. Are you adopting children because you love them and are just called to do this, or are you doing this as a publicity stunt? Needless to say, this will prove whether or not Angelina is serious about the disciminative and cruel issues that minorities have suffered and still facing today, mostly behind the Republicans.

roseanne makes some good points but like someone said earlier, she could just not be giving any money period. i mean, 3 million dollars is A LOT of money. not to them but to the rest of us, especially poverty stricken countries. so just because she doesn’t govern where the money goes doesn’t mean she isn’t doing sh*t about it. i know i hope her vote goes to a certain somebody but you can’t knock her for wanting to make sure the right vote will benifit children in other countries which is very important to her. she didn’t say she was simply undecided, she wants to know who’s going to do something about those issues.
but like i said……. roseanne still made some good points

this ol dried up someTHING needs to sit down. if people stopped jumping on bandwagons and did some research into what Bawack Ol’Bamma has DONE they’d completely understand why the Jolie-Pitts would be reserved. Bawack is cute, but when it comes to real ACTIONS, and DOING positive things he hasn’t DONE much, well anything at all. being an active family that loves to give back i completely understand why they’d be a bit hesitant about supporting bawack as once i got past his hype i found a pretty dark and selfish being that wasn’t anything @ all like the image he portrays himself to be. but hey, that’s politics right? they all kinda lie so why not vote in a black liar!?!?

I love me some Angelina and Brad! Hooowever…the fact that Angelina publicly announced that she hadn’t made up her mind about the election troubled me for two reasons. 1. May G-d bless her for being a UN Ambassador but she should not (nor should the candidate seeking her endorsement) consider herself important enough in this presidential campaign to publicly withhold her vote as if to say she can sway the vote either way. And shame on the candidates for perpetuating the idea that American’s are not smart enough to make an independant and informed decision on the candidates based on ISSUES. (remember those?)
2. Really Angie? Why are you still unclear as to where Senator McCain stands? What do you mean mamacita? Were you unclear when he opposed a woman’s right to vote? Were you unclear when he opposed gay marriage? Were you unclear when he said we would stay in Iraq for 100 more years? Were you unclear when McCain lied about how committed he was to environmental issues having casted nan a vote in this 144th convening of the Senate? Were you unclear when he called Georgia a tough little country and proceeded to say what amounted to Putin is evil? (great diplomacy Johnny) What exactly are you waiting on Angie? If indeed you are waiting for some indication of where John stands, I think you have ignored the many indications that the Senators race baiting, patronistic, and undiplomatic and careless regard for the poor and middle class. If indeed she thinks her decision will affect the outcome of the race then she is doing us all a disservice. Maybe Roseanne was right. Maybe this is indeed a ploy to feed her own narcissim.

And for the people who say Barack has done NOTHING?? what does that mean when John McCain was absent to the majority of his voting sessions and had the worst attendance record in the Senate over the past two years (even worse than the Senator with a brain condition that left him hospitalized. good job McCain.)
Barack has done a lot for the Chicago community and was leading the fight against the Iraq War. Does that not count? Especially when our country has a history of electing presidents who may not have alot of experience in Washington (remember Bill Clinton?) The “experience trap” gave us Bush the 1st who raised taxes and took us to war with Iraq and Bush the 2nd who demolished the education system and took us to war with Iraq. So what will this so-called experience bring us if John McCain? go head…you get three guesses.

Well, Roseanne usually gets on my last nerves because she can go overboard with initially valid points. However, I think she’s kind of dead on. Whether or not they think about it, Jolie and Pitt’s decision to adopt should be in line with their political thinking. It really makes you question their motives if they/she honestly believes that the McCain and the Republican party have in the past or will in the future do anything to empower children or adults who come from backgrounds like those of the children they have adopted. It is an important question!

I don’t think she went too far. She spoke her mind and that’s fine. Everyone has an opinion and Roseanne is not the first person to say things about Angelina and Brad. It’s being blown out of propportion only because it’s Roseanne. I agree with her. The money Angelina and Brad donate is nothing to applaud. For a couple who makes 40 million annually…not to mention the 10 million they just made off their baby’s photos.

Cocoa Chanel– please look up Bawacks VOTING record. there you will see that he voted AGAINST a dealine for war, yet voted FOR war funding. He never voted against the war because he didn’t even have a say so technically he wasn’t a national political figure. So i could say i voted against the war, when in actuality i was “@ the Dr.” getting my doobie wrapped tite! I’m not a republican, KNOW THAT, but i’m not blind. Name specifically what Bawack’s done in Chicago, because with his “help” Rezko turned 150 residences into slums, and left hundreds of people without heat! Yea that SHOOOLE DID HELLup my community! ;P these are just a few quick examples on an EXTREMELY long list of lies that seem to fly by our radar.
I say this to say don’t be fooled by what Bawack’s telling you he did. not that any politician is sooo honest. But if you look at HIS ACTIONS you’re essentially voting for Bush in blackface, and somebody somewhere needs to start reading, and talking to people. Oh speaking of missing votes. Bawacks missed approx 10% more votes than Hillary, most of these being on issues he swears he feels so strongly about. Don’t use that Ol’Bamma as an example of voting honestly and consistently.
Angie is correct in keeping her vote discreet. y? because you see the affect “da OPRAH” had on Bawack’s run. She’s a smart woman that wants people to make up their own minds. She’s proably looked into his lies about sitting on foreign relationss committees that DIDN’T HOLD ONE MEETING and decided that was kinda wack… lovemuffins look @ the whole picture. celebrities affect our everyday lives or else we wouldn’t be loving up on some B.Scott! What has Roseann Barr done for anybody ? Angelina Jolie can vote for anyone of her choosing,if everyone did everything the same then we would how would we know diversity .What have any of you done besides get on these sites and criticize what people have done that has been a benefit to other.
It’s their money and if they give away 3 million or 40 million it’s still giving away
