August 18, 2008 Ellen DeGeneres Has A Wife!

“Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married [Saturday night] in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles,” their spokesperson tells PEOPLE exclusively. DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, both wore Zac Posen and exchanged rings by Neil Lane during the Saturday ceremony.

I am super duper excited! Love muffins it has been a long time coming and we finally made it. Gay and lesbian people everywhere across the globe can get married. I love California (B. Scott is wiping away a tear)! Jesus take the wheel and drive me straight towards my groom!

Aww!! It’s about time! And we have come a long way! U don’t have to go up North to get married anymore! California here I come!
