Diddy finally premiered Donnie Klang’s debut music video “Take You There” on MTV’s FNMTV on Friday which features Diddy himself. I’m not sure what I think about the song. Sounds like a Justin Timberlake wannabe. Thoughts?

JT wasnt the first white dude to do this..every1 in the industry takes something and outs it farther I think they should have took the concept & added more into it BUT I do like the song

Reminds me too much of Jt and Timberlake’s “bring sexy back”. Come up with something new. And this guy’s vocals aren’t as strong either. Don’t know what diddy is thinking. Why does he always gotta be on his artist’s songs?

Every white man that sings R&B/Pop is not trying to be Justin Timberlake. In fact, Justin isn’t doing anything that George Michael didn’t already do in the 80’s and 90’s. There is room for more than one blue eye soul singer. I am willing to give Donnie a chance.

Marty, he’s clearly trying to be Justin though. if you watched Making the Band he even said it himself MULTIPLE times. There’s no doubt this song is exactly that, a wanna-be Justin Timberlake. It also sounds like Entourage by Omarion, but maybe that is coincidental.
Donnie needs to be an ARTIST and find his own niche. This song is garbage.
Someone call me when he starts to be an individual.

the only thing i saw that’s like JT is what he was wearing. he’s got a high voice so that could be the issue of him trying to be like JT. there will never be another that comes close to JT and timbo….. BUT i don’t really think they’re trying to BE like them.
donnie is kinda boring tho. ha! he just sat there rubbin his face and singing to the right side of the screen. he’s a cutie tho

In music period you are always gonna have comparisons. Music & fashion repeats and re-invents itself, thats culture.
My issue is not so much the song but rather , the man behind the artist, or shall i say in front of the artist…Diddy.
I personally feel that with all these acts he is signing, he is trying to build a powerhouse label of artists that he once had when Biggie, Junior Mafia, Faith Evans, Gina Thompson, Mary J Blige, 112, Carl Thomas… etc.
These artists he is signing now, are money hungry and anxious for stardom, so they will sign a bs contract with Diddy or shall I say Bad Boy, just to get one step closer to making their dreams come true. They dont realize that there is a reason why Bad Boy doesn’t have that powerhouse label anymore.
I respect that man as a eclectic mogul, however if any artist signs with Bad Boy… you are setting yourself up to be involved in some “Monkey Doodle Foolishness” lol.
The song is just ok.

Okay, liked the video, it was a little too sexy for what his fan base should probably be seeing…..
Didn’t LOVE the song, but I could pop to it while ironing my clothes.
