August 8, 2008 Halle At The Black Film Festival!

Halle Berry attended the ‘12th Annual Black Film Festival’ on Thursday in Los Angeles in a black halter dress looking just divine and tanned. This year, the focus of the festival was on romance and sexuality.

“The theme of this year’s festival is Exploring Black Romance and Sexuality in American Cinema, so we thought it would be interesting to take a look back and examine the first film in contemporary cinema to showcase a modern-day love story featuring a sexy African-American duo,” said Jeff Friday, founder/CEO of Film Life, Inc., and the ABFF. Halle introduced the classic film Carmen Jones during the event. I watched Carmen Jones some months ago. I knew what was going to happen at the end of the movie, but I still felt like I was ready to mollywhop someone! Thoughts? View more pictures after the jump –

  • I remember “Carmen Jones”. Dorothy Dandridge was a mess in that movie. Her characters that is. Now that it’s time for the Olympics, I will have to find a vid of Katerina Witt and Debbie Thomas both skating to “Carmen”.
