August 7, 2008 Usher Is Back On The Tit!

Usher and Momager Jonnetta Patton August 7, 2008Love muffins after the (in Usher’s eyes) moderate success of his latest album Here I Stand, Usher has fired his manager Benny Medina. Instead he has gone back to his momager Jonnetta Patton to be his manager once again, who managed him on the Confessions album.

“With an artist like Usher, the bar is set really high,” Medina tells E! News. “Whether it was management, marketing or the music, we achieved a No. 1 single and a No. 1 album…I had a great time and we parted ways amicably.” E!Online

To me it sounds like he is just trying to save face because he was dropped on it. Thoughts?

Yeah well his album sucks all he tlks about is his husband!!! Momma knows best and Momma knows that her son messed up I just hope that he doesn’t play her when she re vamos what Tameka messed up!!!!!

  • B. Scott, you know you are wrong for that title…LMAO!!!!!!

  • the album didn’t sucks it just shooting toward a grown folks

i heard that usher is rereleasing his album here i stand with some new tracks i think it should be out by this year

  • First of all, USHER GOT MARRIED!! If you want to kill a hot career, lose your fans. His mom tried to tell him not to do it but he got married anyway. She, his mom, tried to give him the advice he needed to hear but he did him anyway.

The album is good but women, who make up his fan base, weren’t feeling the married Usher. Then he got all happy married man on them and told them to leave his marriage alone. Well they did just that. HE ruined his status not the management. And the BET Awards, put the final nail in the ‘Here I Stand’ phase. Two youngsters came and pulled the rug from under him and he fell off. He has no one to blame but himself. I don’t think a re-release will do him any good this time around. He better buck up and do a Confession II album and leave the married man for his private life. Pop bottles and provide party music for the people. Confessions is a classic that I still rock more than his new album.

  • Listen to you momma!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I meant your momma.

  • I would have to agree with KR. This whole married thing i believe has really ruined his career with the ladies. Like b. scott said on one of his youtubes if your own family and friends are telling you that they don’t like the person your dating , they are saying it for a reason. And they have known you longer. He should have taken his moms advice and left that women alone, or at least wait a few more years to get married. Because here i stand IS NOT and i repeat IS NOt good AT ALL!!!! i only happen to liek two songs on the album and that’s lifetime and love you gently now what should that say? Re-releasing it won’t do any good because the album is NOTHING like confessions. It’s something about most artist getting married and then making happy love songs it really doesn’t seem to work out. Sorry Ush better luck next album.

  • it seems like everyone lets Benny Medina go. He use to be J-Lo’s manager and she fired him many years ago.

  • Don’t get it twisted… The album sales had nothing to do with management. It truly was an uttered usher mess.

There was nothing substantial on this album that would make someone spend their last $12.00 to go get as music inspiration.

So yes he can go back to his mama’s arms, but that dont change what the album sounds like. It just changes his manager wearing pants to a dress, unless Benny has something he wants to share.
