August 6, 2008 Rihanna’s Covers “Doowop (That Thing)”!
Several weeks ago, Rihanna performed several cover songs at MTV ‘Italia’s Mobile Bang’ concert. Among her cover songs included Lauryn Hill’s “Doowop (That Thing)”, Beenie Man’s “Who I Am” and M.I.A. “Paper Planes”. Rihanna rocks, be sure you pay careful attention to what she does with the mic towards the end of the performance! Thoughts?

The thing with the mic was cute. . . but I’m not so sure I buy her singing L. Boogie. Her voice just doesn’t do it for me.

I’m sorry but what is the fascination with this girl? Yes, she is very pretty but has a terrible voice. The roboticness comes out even more when she sings live. I CANNOT STAND HER VOICE. Is there anyone else out there that feels the same way. I have tried to like this girl but can’t get past the voice. I love people with unique sounding voices but Rihanna is just irritating at best.

dude this was awful! i mean rhianna has got to be the laziest performer ever. all that huffin and puffalating and barely moving on stage! ARG! i love her but her performances always continually foreverly suck! ARG! i see why Kanye had to tell that ass”looka here, wear this and make this change or else u gon emburass me in fronta company Joe” i mean its like she does a lazy saunter, might crack a note and that’s it! Wow I knew she was a freak but that was a horrible performance!
I guess u can’t have everything…Rhianna is pretty but she can’t sing to save her life…she killed like 3/4 classics in less than 4mins….not cool!

This girl can not sing!! I wish that she wouldn’t destroy others songs. She need to just sing her songs and leave others songs be. I don’t know I just don’t like her. Terrible!!

Yup, not cool. She can’t sing, performance was weak, and she messed up one of my favorite songs (doowop)by Ms. Hill…
I agree with Mat, shes big because of Jay-z. Other than that she has no real talent, but she is very pretty so ppl let her get away with performances like this and still give her props. Shameful…

While Rhianna is a very beautiful girl, her live performances LACK! The crowds’ muted reaction says it all. I would never want to see her perform live..even for free

Rihanna is a pretty girl with good producers that give her hits…that is Americas fascination with her. PLUS she has a good stylist because the girl can dress. I saw her perform in concert and it nearly killed me. She was so damn boring….people around me were saying they were ready to go. LOL

This is the same set she did while opening for Kanye’s ‘Glow in the Dark’ tour. Which might I add she was much better during the Staples Center show.

This was a horrible performance, is she serious, she was off key, had no energy, it looked as if she was a high drunk cousin singing karaoke at the family reunion. Terrible and pathetic, the mic thing..whatever

When this lady comes thru, she comes thru. now if i was a blind man, and sat through one of her performances, i would more than likely be counting all herd of sheep.
However, that lady fashionably gives me what i want, and its for that reason i cant keep my eyes off of her. Her videos are also real hot.
