The reality is politicians have to appeal to the the voting population to get into office. That's why Florida & Texas (Latinos) and Hillary supporters are such a key battle ground for both campaigns. Personally I am disgusted some Hillary supporters have publicly stated they would rather have McCain as President over Obama. Barack has his hands full and is definitely a fighter and does it with amazing style and grace - but he needs support not controversy from his supporters.
