I get why Obama had to renounce Luda's song but I'm sure in his mind, he was pleased that somebody said it. Luda and other rappers can bring the message Obama presents to a wider public who don't watch CNN or MSNBC. And who knows? Maybe it'll get 'em to vote this November too. :)

I agree the world is ready for change but I disagree because there are PLENTY of people in the US (who vote), who would rather have an "out-of-touch" member of the status quo finish the job Bush started - than have a forward-thinking, positive black man be the leader of the free world.

The reality is politicians have to appeal to the the voting population to get into office. That's why Florida & Texas (Latinos) and Hillary supporters are such a key battle ground for both campaigns. Personally I am disgusted some Hillary supporters have publicly stated they would rather have McCain as President over Obama.

Barack has his hands full and is definitely a fighter and does it with amazing style and grace - but he needs support not controversy from his supporters.

Let's be real, Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges is a very smart and shrewed businessman. I am sure he "meant well" with this ill-timed rap in support or defense of Obama, but I am sure he knew exactly what he was doing and the attention it would receive.

Personally, I like it but you really cannot put Obama in the position of having to defend his campaign because a supporter wants to "keep it real for the streets".

Obama is running to represent ALL Americans not just one group of people, who represent roughly 12% of the population and perhaps a smaller percentage of the voting population.

MAN BIG UP's to Luda! I do not think he said anything wrong. He's a rapper and although he's down for Obama he's still in the business to make money, and the kids will be bumping this shit just cause Luda's name is on it. "black people get up off your ass and vote" HELLO! That is what we want we need the kids to VOTE by any means and I do not think what he said was wrong. It's the same fight with hip hop, rappers won't take charge, but now we gotta rapper that is doing just that and ya'll still bitch and moan about how he went about doing it? PLEASE

He just said what everyone else was thinking about the other candidates. But people have to realize that even though Obama is black, he has to represent all people in America so we can't say some of the things we say in private, in public. America hasn't evolved that much to hear our truth

I must admit that Luda could have re-worded his lyrics, but that’s what rappers do, they make dis records! Look Luda is just speaking the way he really feels, and let’s not forget, it is called freedom of speech! Plus white men are speaking worser then him about Obama that is, but are we bashing them, NOPE just the black man! I still like Luda and Obama still has my vote!

Ok I can't resist responding to this one. I believe in artistic freedom and I know that freedom of speech is a right and not a privaledge BUT there is also a time and a place for everything. I kind of understand the message that Luda is trying to deliver however I feel that this has been gone about the wrong way. The song is so damaging to the Obama Campain especially since he has vocally proclaimed Luda as a true talent and also allowed him to hold a fund raiser in his name he is not associated with him. I think the song is boastful, and threatening. I just think this is a case of extremly bad timeing.
