August 5, 2008 Kathy Griffin Rejects DWTS Offer!
Love muffins, there are some things in the world I just don’t understand. Here’s the problem, Dancing with the Stars on ABC has become a big hit and was one of those shows that started to showcase more “has beens” than anyone else. While trying to get the roster together for next season, they asked proclaimed ‘D-List’ comedian and actress Kathy Griffin to join the cast and she turned them down. It could just be me but I would think she is just what they are looking for to be on the show. Do you think she would have made a good addition? Who else would you like to see tryout for the strobe light trophy? WENN

I know its say DWTS.. but there never really that many big stars on there.. like you said has been… they need some update like NOW stars… but guess since there RIGHT NOW STARS they got no time for this show..

I love all things Kathy, but I’m kind of glad she turned it down. Her star is rising without having to resort to selling out to this sort of show. GO KATHY!

Kathy doesn’t really do all the ballroom dancing stuff on DWTS and I understand why she rejected. Plus, she makes jokes about the people that are on DWTS so it would be awkward.

Kathy’s whole claim to fame is the fact that she IS on the “D-List”. The DWTS contestants are at least ‘C’s’ and higher, so I think she made the right move, although it would have been amusing. My Most Wanteds for DTWS would come in two flavas: Choklit – Henry Simmons of the dearly-departed SHARK, and Vanilla – My Number 1 “Play-HUZZBIN” Christopher Meloni. He’s a big goofball in real life, and I can’t see him saying no if they asked him, and the schedule lined up right.
