July 31, 2008 ‘The Secret Life Of Bees’!
I am truly excited about The Secret Life Of Bees movie with stellar co-stars including Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, and Sophie Okondeo. After doing a little research about the movie, it made me want to see this film even more! The movie is set around a 14 year-old girl who tries to escape the haunted memories of her late mother set in South Carolina in 1964. To do so, she flees to a caregiver who is then taken in by sisters who find peace while taking care bees. I haven’t read the novel, but I feel like this movie might be empowering to everyone who watches the movie. Thoughts?

Im actually reading this book so that i can watch the movie, im sure the book is better than the book…B.Scott, you should read it, so you could to a contrast a compare article after reviewing the movie!

This is definitely a novel to read! It is so empowering to read about a family of strong Black women reaching out to and saving the lives of others.

the movie looks great. but i haven’t read the book though, so imma have to do read, it must be hella good if it got made into a movie.
(how old is Sophie? she has an apperance of a lil kid,*laughs*)

LET ME JUST SAY.. I READ THE BOOK AND IT WAS GREAT!!! I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE.. THE STELLAR CAST WILL BRING THE BOOK TO LIFE ON SOO MANY LEVELS….

U really should read the novel!!I recently just finished it and I didn’t even remember that they were doing a movie 4 it until this morning. So I’m super excited. They seem gto have the cast down pat.

This year the move industry is going to be off the chains! I can not wait to see this movie, The Lena Baker Story and Tyler Perrys new film! Oh and this cast is clearly the best!
