July 30, 2008 New Movie Review: The X-Files – IWTB
My first thought when I saw the trailer for The X-Files: I Want To Believe was yes about time. But then I got to thinking more – the trailer hit televisions two weeks before it premiered in theaters. Not much talk about the movie made me speculate how bad the movie was going to do at the box office due to the lack of promotion. Well, I decided to go see the movie anyway. Without spoiling much of the movie, there was a little suspense and I do mean little. If this was suppose to be a thriller, then I was thrilled I saw the movie during the day time because movie tickets were much cheaper. I honestly think this movie came 5 years too late, that’s my personal opinion. I will tell you one thing, Dana Scully was getting on my nerves. I rate this movie 6 out of 10. Thoughts?

I agree! It was too little, too late. I mean, it was a good (as opposed to great, awesome, spectacular, or even excelent, as was the Dark Knight) hour-and-a-half episode. But when I heard it was going to be a Monster of the Week-type episode, I was hoping for so much more… i was disappointed. Still love my X-Files, but I might just stick to the first six seasons…

I never really was into X files..but I did know the show ended some time ago..and to have a movie come out of nowhere is like…umm..yea..but hey I guess now they know to atleast promote the hell out of a movie especially if no one is showing interest.

Unfortunately…I paid BIG money @ the Metreon in San Francisco to see this CRAP! I wasn’t looking forward to it-didn’t even know the movie was out.
Dark Knight on IMAX was sold out. So this was plan.. ‘D’..lol
Anyway-it could have been another episode. Not a movie.
