July 29, 2008 NIGHTLIFE: More Morton’s Please
Morton’s The Steakhouse
www.mortons.com
When you think Morton’s The Steakhouse, your mind goes to the obvious—steaks. But now it’s time to start thinking something off the beaten path—burgers. It’s summertime, and one of the best things about this time are all of the foods related to the grill. Now you can get a great burger from a fancy steakhouse without opening one bag of charcoal. There are Morton’s sprinkled across the country, and almost all of them are featuring this summer’s Sunday-only sirloin burger. It’ll cost you a mighty $19.78, a throwback to the restaurant’s 30 year anniversary. Don’t let the price tag deter you. Not only is it one of the best burgers you’ll eat with your choice of up to four different toppings, but a portion of the bill does support Morton’s contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. And how often do you have a restaurant suggest the best red or white wine to sip while you chomp. If you’re not a wine drinker, there’s always the top recommended beer—a hearty Chimay for those who can appreciate a beer with body. If you’re looking for a classy place to dig into your dinner, we suggest your neighborhood Morton’s. One more great thing about Morton’s this summer is their impressive Happy Hour. Although not all locations offer the same specials, we think you should head over to the Woodland Hills spot where you can either hit up discounted small plate deals immediately after work from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm or as a late dinner from 9:30 pm-11:00 pm. Take your pick. Make sure you secure a reservation at your nearest Morton’s before the end of summer if you want to get your lips on a meal that won’t let you down.

Okay I like many other Americans can appreicate a good burger but $19.78 is just rediculous in my opinion. Good things aren’t expensive there just made better!
